Oh My My Memory I Think I lost It????

I lost my memory,I am on dialysis,I need a kidney,I think they are washing it down the drain,I put a pumpkin pie in the oven last nite at 6 can you guess what time I remembered it?????would you believe 10 pm !!!!!!!!!!oh my.

I guess it was baked by then!!

We've all done that to some food at some time or other - too many things on our minds.

Don't give it a second thought.

Gotta buy this girl a kitchen timer -- but then you have to remember to turn it on.

Dialysis must be quite a drain. My XH goes three times a week and also is waiting for a kidney. I kind of feel bad for him. Kind of.

I hope that kidney comes along soon.

We all do things like that. I do!

Hi You dealth with the roots, and not only that but you seperated 3 plants from each other, I think the roots got quite disturbed and the plant is currently in shock. If you had something such as SuperThrive you should have then soaked all 3 plants root systems in this mix for 15-30 minutes. Then repotted them. Live sphagnum can become an issue to small plants, most people seem to just cut the sphagnum away from the area that it is overcrowding. You could always go the route of using no sphagnum moss on the surface, my Capensis plantlet is now planted in a small 2" pot, I only used 50/50 peat/perlite mix with no sphagnum top surface until the plant gets bigger. Just get the plant good light and water and it should recover fine. Could you not rather use peat mix to anchor the plant down as apposed to sphagnum moss mabey? First, properly processed green beans do not require acid and only need to be PC'd 25 minutes for quarts. There isn't enough information to know what went wrong. I'm not sure the canner was vented before the weight was applied. If they are "spoiling" then that would indicate the jars weren't sealed and that is entirely separate from the canning times and use of the canner. To determine the cause of that you'd have to go back to how the jars and lids were prepared, how the beans were packed and the lids applied. But the biggest issue seems to be that your co-worker hasn't invested the 5 or 10 minutes it would take to go to the NCHFP or one of the many Extension sites where the current USDA guide is posted to get proper instructions for use of a pressure canner and processing of green beans. The salesman intially said the demonstration would take an hour. 3 hours later they were still at my house, convincing me to purchase this vaccuum. Dont get me wrong this was an amazing Vacuum!!! However the salesman had no concerns that i most likely couldnt afford this vaccuum. He had all these different priced plans, advising the price would normally be 3000.00, however he would bring it down to 2500.00 with fewer payments. He could see that i was still struggling to figure out how i was going to finance this vaccuum, He appeared to be making phone calls to head office to bring the price down and at the last minute bought it down to 2000.00 After calcluating the interest, it ended up costing 3000.00 anyway. My main problem with this is that it felt rushed. I couldnt find 3 forms of ID and desperately wanted him to leave after 3 hours and done a stupid thing like sign the forms just so they could leave. He didnt care that i didnt have ANY form of ID, he didnt care that i didnt know my bank account number, he advised as long as i purchased and signed on the dotted line, then everything else would fall into place. He advised he couldnt come back again as this needed to be done asap. They also took my old vaccuum with them. Everything seemed dodgy, and i had my kids running around hungry so i felt extremely pressured. After they left i sat down looking at this machine thinking what the hell have i purchased??!!! I looked around on websites like trademe (nz) and found other types of machines at the price of 500.00. By this time i was pissed! I immediately called headoffice and cancelled the order and they advised someone would call me to inform me of cancellation procedures. The next day after work these two guys came over again. (no call or notification to say they were coming) They were standing asking me why i wanted to cancel the machine STILL trying to convince me that there is no other like this. They even had the nerve to sit inside and say they called head office and they would lower the price another 200.00. I ended up telling them to take their vacuum and leave my house. I asked them where my original vaccuum was and they asked me what colour it was? I told them to leave and advised them to bring back my original vaccum or else i would make a complaint and slammed the door. 5 days later i still havent recieved my old vaccuum. This whole ordeal was a horrible experience for me and these salesmen were dodgy as!!! Never again

When I first moved to this garden I visited a nearby (relatively speaking) hosta grower. He sells 1,200+ hosta cultivars so I selected 9 in order to stay within my budget (which was small). Liberty, Revolution, Minuteman and Patriot were among my selections. All have been outstanding performers in the 10 years since I planted them as have Gold Standard, Olive Bailey Langdon, Halcyon & Ice Age Trail.

I have 5 timers, one on the microwave, on the oven, two magnetic ones that I can carry around with me, and my iPhone. I discovered that I really couldn't hear the timers in the kitchen very well if I wasn't there. So now I carry one with me whenever I'm cooking.

I think we've all been there. I once poured a cup of coffee, turned around and put it into the refrigerator and walked away. I spent about 15 minutes looking for my coffee cup to get a cup of coffee before my secretary finally cracked up and told me what I'd done.

I know you've been waiting for that kidney, I hope it happens soon.

I bet the pie was tasty. And who said that 10 was not the time to take the pie out of the oven? Nobody. You took it out before you went to bed, so that's good. You have some other stuff on your mind, Bulldinkie.

I almost posted a few weeks ago, "what dumb thing did you do today?". I had a years worth of oddities in one day trying to multi-task. Fortunately i checked all pockets before doing laundry...2 dozen cherry tomatoes, half a chocolate bar, tape, scissors....one milk dud, lol.
Always loosing coffee cups...
I think one of the worst was leaving for a long weekend and DH left the front door open.
A few birds moved in and shat everywhere. We now double check and again when we leave even for work. Think, check, and check again. (i printed out a check list by the downstairs exit door)
Add to daily life a medical issue and i do understand how difficult that would be. When we are stressed from work and not so young anymore, we just slow down and use our cell phone timers...

crisp & black..I had a nice timer it fell in sink of water, that was it.killed it..but sometimes I don't hear timer go off.
dedtired ,how long has your hubby been on dialysis?Im going on 6 1/2 years.3 days a week,oh my..

I put a rack of ribs and a small chicken in my good roasting pan and put all on the grill about 3 pm. I remembered it about 11 pm. Talk about a crispy critter! And I have absolutely no good reason for having forgotten about it.

Bless your heart!

I was going to roast some eggplant. The only problem was I put the oven on broil instead of 400 degrees.

I was so good & remembered to set the alarm on my cell phone so I wouldn't forget.

Went back to a smoky kitchen and VERY crispy black BLACK eggplant.

Also baked an organically grown chicken so I could make broth. Stuck it in fridge & after a very busy week ended up having to throw it away because it was too old to make broth.

Made me want to cry!

Bulldinkie, at least you have a valid reason for being distracted. I hope the best for you.

As a get-together gift Peppi gave each of us a timer on a rope. Great item, been using it for years.
