We've all done that to some food at some time or other - too many things on our minds.

Don't give it a second thought.

Gotta buy this girl a kitchen timer -- but then you have to remember to turn it on.

Dialysis must be quite a drain. My XH goes three times a week and also is waiting for a kidney. I kind of feel bad for him. Kind of.

I hope that kidney comes along soon.

We all do things like that. I do!

I have 5 timers, one on the microwave, on the oven, two magnetic ones that I can carry around with me, and my iPhone. I discovered that I really couldn't hear the timers in the kitchen very well if I wasn't there. So now I carry one with me whenever I'm cooking.

I think we've all been there. I once poured a cup of coffee, turned around and put it into the refrigerator and walked away. I spent about 15 minutes looking for my coffee cup to get a cup of coffee before my secretary finally cracked up and told me what I'd done.

I know you've been waiting for that kidney, I hope it happens soon.

I bet the pie was tasty. And who said that 10 was not the time to take the pie out of the oven? Nobody. You took it out before you went to bed, so that's good. You have some other stuff on your mind, Bulldinkie.

I almost posted a few weeks ago, "what dumb thing did you do today?". I had a years worth of oddities in one day trying to multi-task. Fortunately i checked all pockets before doing laundry...2 dozen cherry tomatoes, half a chocolate bar, tape, scissors....one milk dud, lol.
Always loosing coffee cups...
I think one of the worst was leaving for a long weekend and DH left the front door open.
A few birds moved in and shat everywhere. We now double check and again when we leave even for work. Think, check, and check again. (i printed out a check list by the downstairs exit door)
Add to daily life a medical issue and i do understand how difficult that would be. When we are stressed from work and not so young anymore, we just slow down and use our cell phone timers...

And I LOVE crisp pumpkin pie! ;)

crisp & black..I had a nice timer it fell in sink of water, that was it.killed it..but sometimes I don't hear timer go off.

I put a rack of ribs and a small chicken in my good roasting pan and put all on the grill about 3 pm. I remembered it about 11 pm. Talk about a crispy critter! And I have absolutely no good reason for having forgotten about it.

I was going to roast some eggplant. The only problem was I put the oven on broil instead of 400 degrees.

I was so good & remembered to set the alarm on my cell phone so I wouldn't forget.

Went back to a smoky kitchen and VERY crispy black BLACK eggplant.

Also baked an organically grown chicken so I could make broth. Stuck it in fridge & after a very busy week ended up having to throw it away because it was too old to make broth.

Made me want to cry!

Bulldinkie, at least you have a valid reason for being distracted. I hope the best for you.

As a get-together gift Peppi gave each of us a timer on a rope. Great item, been using it for years.
