I was looking at clips of Rosie ODonnal on youtube and got sidetracked by video of cats running on wheels and then got more sidetracked by other cats and then I found the videos by Richard Norton of his Bengals. I am in love!!! I have had cats who were smarter than the average but all of these cats are brilliant as well as beautiful! Warning though, I wound up setting here for more than an hour watching these adorable animals. Sandy

Bengals are so beautiful, I agree, Sandy! The link I posted over on the "Animals in the News" thread mentions Bengals in the article about Toygers, a new breed, but when I saw pics of Bengals, I melted!

Yep, that's it! I do have that plant in my collection. I have been a lot more lax about keeping up with the tags since I stopped selling plants, and I have a pesky squirrel (an no less than 4 large snakes) that are currently living in the GH and sometimes they are a little, um, DISRUPTIVE. Hi You dealth with the roots, and not only that but you seperated 3 plants from each other, I think the roots got quite disturbed and the plant is currently in shock. If you had something such as SuperThrive you should have then soaked all 3 plants root systems in this mix for 15-30 minutes. Then repotted them. Live sphagnum can become an issue to small plants, most people seem to just cut the sphagnum away from the area that it is overcrowding. You could always go the route of using no sphagnum moss on the surface, my Capensis plantlet is now planted in a small 2" pot, I only used 50/50 peat/perlite mix with no sphagnum top surface until the plant gets bigger. Just get the plant good light and water and it should recover fine. Could you not rather use peat mix to anchor the plant down as apposed to sphagnum moss mabey? The salesman intially said the demonstration would take an hour. 3 hours later they were still at my house, convincing me to purchase this vaccuum. Dont get me wrong this was an amazing Vacuum!!! However the salesman had no concerns that i most likely couldnt afford this vaccuum. He had all these different priced plans, advising the price would normally be 3000.00, however he would bring it down to 2500.00 with fewer payments. He could see that i was still struggling to figure out how i was going to finance this vaccuum, He appeared to be making phone calls to head office to bring the price down and at the last minute bought it down to 2000.00 After calcluating the interest, it ended up costing 3000.00 anyway. My main problem with this is that it felt rushed. I couldnt find 3 forms of ID and desperately wanted him to leave after 3 hours and done a stupid thing like sign the forms just so they could leave. He didnt care that i didnt have ANY form of ID, he didnt care that i didnt know my bank account number, he advised as long as i purchased and signed on the dotted line, then everything else would fall into place. He advised he couldnt come back again as this needed to be done asap. They also took my old vaccuum with them. Everything seemed dodgy, and i had my kids running around hungry so i felt extremely pressured. After they left i sat down looking at this machine thinking what the hell have i purchased??!!! I looked around on websites like trademe (nz) and found other types of machines at the price of 500.00. By this time i was pissed! I immediately called headoffice and cancelled the order and they advised someone would call me to inform me of cancellation procedures. The next day after work these two guys came over again. (no call or notification to say they were coming) They were standing asking me why i wanted to cancel the machine STILL trying to convince me that there is no other like this. They even had the nerve to sit inside and say they called head office and they would lower the price another 200.00. I ended up telling them to take their vacuum and leave my house. I asked them where my original vaccuum was and they asked me what colour it was? I told them to leave and advised them to bring back my original vaccum or else i would make a complaint and slammed the door. 5 days later i still havent recieved my old vaccuum. This whole ordeal was a horrible experience for me and these salesmen were dodgy as!!! Never again

My mother passed away April 13th 2022. she raised me and my sister, as a single mother. she worked 2 jobs to ptovide for us, but we took her for granted as children. When the mother of my 2 children passed away in 2016, my mother moved in with us. My mother helped raise my daughter(16 now) and my son(15 now) for almost a decade. My mother was more than just my best friend, she was my only friend. i have complex PTSD, and she was the only one that i trusted enough to talk about the war with… she went with me to the VA, when i had to. she gave me strength, she always seemed to understand things that other people either couldnt or didnt want to understand… my dog died about a month before my mother did… 2022 has taken a lot from me and my 2 children… they saw her as a mother, as much as me… i go from feeling numb to feeling deep sadness and loss… i don‘t want to give up, but i always needed her support. she died from cancer, after being on immunotherapy for 2 years… she suffered from many side effects, for most of her treatment. she became so thin near the end that it was painful to see her like that… i was with her until the end, and it may sound strange but i held her for some time after she died and just sobbed onto her… i talk to her still thst she is dead for months, but i still wake up thinking that she is alive… i beli my mother is in heaven, but selfishly i just want my mom back… i miss my only friend… i miss the only selfless person that i ever met… i feel so empty, and i did not think that id feel so lost… she gave me direction when i didnt know what to do… i hope this posts, it does give comfort to know that i am not a

Bengals look exotic and some have more spots than others. Jungle like cats and most likely very expensive.

Sandy - I was wondering. Are you interested in a Musa Zebrina pup or a 5 foot tall Musa Basjoo? I want to get rid of my big tropicals. The bajsoo is a larger size pup of the mom plant which bit the dust, mainly because I had to chop her down. She was going over 18 feet in my bathroom. Both are healthy and the Zebrina pup already has some dark mottled spots on the new leaves. I know you have your tropical pond in summer. Just wondering.

hi sandy! i totally feel your "pain." frost is a marbled bengal. my late sarge was also. high energy cats! you can occasionally find one with personality quirks that some people can't deal with (ie, preferring to use water sources for bathroom duties).

generation could make the difference between not a lap cat and a lap cat. sarge was a total lover and glued to me at all times. frost refuses to be picked up but you better sit down and pay attention to her when she tells you! she is very vocal while sarge was only vocal when i went to bed or was gone. he carried my red sock around in his mouth and mrawed awhile.

there are a lot of bengals in rescues just like other purebreds, as well as retired breeders.

from the bengal rescue website: "Often, people want a Bengal solely because of its exotic looks, not aware that its active and dominating personality could be completely opposite from what they want!" active and dominating? oh yeah! sarge made my old man's life miserable, poor old guy was always on edge. frost drove him insane wanting attention and when he wouldn't give it to her, she would attack him. sarge and frost had a remarkable bond, however.

Too cute! And boy, what a great setup, I think my cats are deprived! Not that Bandit would take one step out there but Smokey would be in heaven.
