Jasdip, you should have a few options available to you regarding how an image shows on your desktop. Usually there is Fit, Fill, Stretch, Tile and Center in your desktop background setup window.

Jodi, it's not stretched when I save it AS my desktop.
I just saved Nicole's picture to my desktop and when I click on it to open, it's far too narrow and wide. It's distorted.
Oh well, there will be other pics!
