I'd pull a blue or green from the floor. I think that floor is bold enough that you won't want to make a competing statement with a totally different color - or at least I wouldn't.

I think if you go with pale blue or green, plus that floor, it's going to say either "spa" or "beach".

If you don't want white or cream, I think I see a darker taupe swirl in there that could be nice.

I agree with avesmor, use a light shade from the floor. I love the flooring, what brand/color is it?

I know this isn't going to be the popular option but I tend to lean towards contrasting colors as opposed to monochromatic. Therefore, I'd choose a complimentary color that isn't in the flooring. It's hard to say what the coloring of the tile is because on my monitor I see a pinkish/purple like tone as opposed to green/blue so as far as color suggestions go I'm no help, but whatever color you end up using, I would lean towards a lighter shade.

Ghostlyvision- It is Armstrong Linorette in Hudson Valley Blue. It is their commercial line of linoleum, which comes in lots of colors. It was so hard to pick!

Avesmor - that is probably the best choice although I am worried that it will look like a blue box. I will go light.

Lukkiirish - I usually prefer contrasting colors too. I suppose that would be taupe, or a grayer shade.

How about Benjamin Moore Beach glass? I have it in one of my kid's rooms and plan to put it in another room too, It is a great color. I love that floor. Maybe I'll try it in my laundry room with Beach Glass too!

I'm not seeing any green on my monitor, so I'd go with a blue or a taupe. Depends what you want to do for towels, etc.

Instead of taupe which usually has a pink band aid tone to it and can be a really hard color to work with I'd go with a nice cream which will offer more flexibility with your other color choices in the room.

Since you said the room can lean towards the dark side as well, I'm going to add that if you do go with a gray, be really careful with the lighter tones. Even though we widened our window, our master bathroom tends to be very dark as well. To offer contrast to our earth toned slate flooring, we put SW Sea Salt on the walls. It's a beautiful gray/green color and I loved the contrast with varied tones of brown in the floor but ever since the completion of the remodel, severe glare was always an issue even when the lighting was on. Since this was the first time we've used the space, I didn't have anything to compare it too and thought it was just the way the room was but recently we had to repaint and since our original color seemed too light, I decided to go a shade darker and use SW Comfort Gray. It looks great but the bonus is no more glare. Apparently the problem was was the way the Sea Salt reflected the light and going a tone darker remedied it. SW Sea Salt was the 2nd color down on the strip and SW Comfort Gray is the 3rd. While its noticeable that the colors are different in ton they look the same on the wall, one is just a tad darker.

Is your house older? You mention a radiator and a porch so it sounds like it. I have an older home and recently put in Armstrong's Marmorette linoleum and love it. Your going to enjoy your choice.

Since it's a small space and there is a lot of color have you considered wallpaper? I have three older baths, all with colored fixtures and tiles and wallpaper really seems to help work with color instead of fight with it or overwhelm it. Does that make sense? It's just something to consider.

Skyedog - This IS an old house. I love the idea of wallpaper but picking a paper that would complement the floor may be too daunting a task!

I do like the P&L Nickel and the BM Beachglass. They look somewhat similar (The Beach Glass looks bluer). There's leftover drywall I will try some samples on.

Lukki - It is interesting about the glare. Is it only the lighter grays that cause the glare? The bath was previously painted an ugly peachy/band-aid color. The lighting seemed weird but I realized it was the paint color, not the lighting.

i would go a light shade of a grayed blue green... my only caution though is when i sampled BM raindance (which seems to be a shade darker version of beach glass) it very much reminded me of hospital scrubs on my walls---way too dark of that shade--and i tend to like deeper colors! i would probably look for a slightly lighter shade of beach glass or look at something that is a bit more grayed....

I'm not sure if it is all lighter grays or just this particular one. SW Sea Salt has a stronger tone of green in it and in some lighting almost looked like a mint green what caused the glare in the color I'm not sure. The Comfort gray doesn't have that minty feel to it but is still green based and heavy on the gray. Light bounces off of it nicely.

If the room tends to be dark, a light color will probably go dingy.

Since you say there's not much wall space, what about a dark blue green? One that matches the mid-to-deeper tones of your flooring? That will make your white fixtures and light trim look sparkling and clean, and give the bathroom a great drama and visual punch.

This is *especially* effective in a small room.

A darker version of the kitchen color?

There is plenty of white tile in the shower to help out.

It's interesting that a darker color could make the space look cleaner. The kitchen is painted BM Catalina Blue. The next shade on the paint strip is Del Mar Blue. Perhaps the kitchen color would look very different in here?

The higher the contrast with the white the more white the white will look :)

Good lighting is also important, but really the only thing I would worry about with certain dark colors is applying makeup, but I don't think that will be going on in that particular bathroom will it?

I'm seeing grey walls.

Check out Restoration Hardware's 'gravel' or 'charcoal'. I think they would be wonderful. I like contrasting but neutral colors.
