Thanks for that link, Kirk. I spent a couple hours there last night, and I'm going back. It was like a mini trip to the garden art museum. What creativity and imagination there is out there! Very enjoyable! Should come with a label- Warning- Will expand your horizon. Will cause you to think outside the box..., lol. Very inspirational indeed :) Donna

I have been researching the web sites focusing on the herbal heat packs and experimenting with making them. Basically the heat packs are pouches filled with rice (or barley) with dried herbs for fragrance. The packs can be heated in a microwave oven to warmth desired for comfort (3-4 minutes). Had some jars of herbs harvested and dried from the garden, including dried lavender leaves, mint, and lemon verbena. Rosemary, sage, lemon balm or any preferred dried herb would be usable. Decided to keep the weght of the packs at 3 pounds of rice per pack and have added the dried herbs according to stregnth of the fragrance. The pouches may be sewn into any shape desired as long as it not too large to fit into the microwave for heating. Pouches measuring 28 X 7 inches are nice to drape around the neck, or wrap around an extremity.. Square shapes are nice for behind the back. I used cotton flannel or t-shirt material for the pouches and made removable covers as the pouches are not washable. I am finding these to be very beneficial and relaxing when the fatique hits or there is discomfort in any particular area. The herbs add fragrance to the warmth of the rice. These would also make nice 'cuddle' pillows for those in wheelchairs. Best wishes to all.

No pics, I'm sorry. We embellished quite a few cheapo RTA bookcases for my shop (entirely lost in a catastophic flood that's why no pics.) A light sanding and a good primer and it was no problem painting them. We put crown molding at the top and added finials to some of them. We use fence post caps as finials - lots of styles to choose from. We also trimmed the shelf fronts and side fronts with decorative molding. Fabric is easy with a spray adhesive since the backs of the less expensive bookcases are usually heavy duty cardboard. They looked great and people were always asking about purchasing them. When you're searching on Houzz, you can refine your search options, so try that to get more suitable results. Also, your location is probably set to Russia, so check and change that to your actual location. But presumably you're doing this to get ideas for your own space/s? Consider checking out some local designers' work, and hiring one. If you want the "phenomenal award winning design eye candy", a good designer is time and money well spent.
