We used all Rohl in our Master Bath. The finish is truly beautiful and and the knobs feel very nice in your hands. They work wihtout any issues, too. My only regret is that our handheld shower head is WAY too heavy and we never use it for that reason except for cleaning the shower. I wish we had purchased a less expensive, lighter handheld, but other than that we have no complaints whatsoever. You get what you pay for with this company.

Hi! We had our Rohl Modern Lux Wide pull-down installed. The plumber had a lot of problems with it because it was coming out as a dribble but he couldn't find anything wrong. He took it apart and put it back together and the flow was better and then he had to run off. However, when I compare it to my Tri-flow regular faucet of 1.5GPM, the Modern seems a little weaker and it is supposed to be 1.8GPM. (It said 1.8GPMs on the box but yet online there was one page that mentioned 2.2GPM, not sure if that was a typo) Is flow a little weaker always because it arcs vs. comes straight down? Should a difference of .3 GPM be noticeable? I read one can get a low flow 1.5GPM filter but I don't recall ordering it and one would think that the plumber would have noticed if one were in there. Please advise as I need to know if I should insist on a return. The contractor looking at it and said it was a little weak but the spray was fine but that was before we knew the actual GPMs. He didn't say that we should call the plumber back in. I emailed him with the GPMs and my concerns and I left a message for the rep that sold me the faucet. But would love your opinion Thank you!

Is there a showroom with one set up? Maybe you could take a plate or pot and play? Unfortunately, not one near me. I think, since your sink will be 10" deep, the faucet would be high enough. The link to the 'more info.', gave a deminsion, but it sounded more like the size of the box it comes in, rather than the faucet reach/size. And, you will have the side spray, so that can come in handy for filling pots and reaching the sink corners for cleaning. I had a separate spray in my condo and yes, they work fine. The spout height is listed as 9 1/4" high. The spout reach is listed as 8 55/65" Its a pretty faucet and I like it better than the second one you pictured. If there is not one on display, somewhere, get some aluminum foil and make a mock up to see how it feels to you. It may not be as lovely, but... Great idea. I'm going to do that. I don't have either one, but I do think the second one looks like the water would spout forth in a better way. That's what I'm thinking. Very pretty but just not functional (IMO). You're chopping up a chicken. How on earth do you turn on the water enough so that you can wash your hands to answer the phone, without spreading salmonella everywhere? I have a prep sink which will have this faucet so can push the lever down. I also always keep hand sanitizer at each sink and use it before turning on the sink faucet to wash my hands. Yes I know, I'm a bit strange. I love having a lever to move with my forearm. (Not what you asked, I'll go away now). (And the first one is beautiful!) I was going to get the old fashioned cross handles, but now that you mention it, I think I'll have to rethink getting levers whether I choose the top one or the bottom one. Actually, I do have one more comment. We have the Kohler Sin on our prep (deepish SS) sink, and it splashes. Fortunately, there is a pull down sprayer, which minimizes this. Being able to use your faucet prior to buying it, is great advice. I'm going to check around to see if anyone has one that can be tried, but I haven't found one. My sister has the single handle Rohl.

It's probably the ceramic cartridge. Most ceramic cartridges are lubricated wit a non-soluble lubricant that allows the two ceramic discs in the cartridge to move across each other smoothly. But, even though the lubricant is not soluble, it wears away eventually from the scouring action of the water (and minerals in the water), making the cartridge hard to operate and sometimes seizing up altogether. The squeaking you hear are the two discs rubbing together lubricant-less. Some newer super cartridges such as those used in Delta, Brizo, and In2aqua faucets don't need lubricant, so they last a whole lot longer. Replacing the cartridge should solve the problem. It's easy to do if you are at all handy and requires household tools you are likely to already own. Instructions usually come with the new cartridge and quite often there is a video or two on Youtube showing the process step by step. If you are the original owner of the faucet, the replacement cartridge is free under Rohl's lifetime cartridge warranty.
