Let's see, I sampled 6 more colors today at the new home. Can't remember them all, but did try rich cream, philadelphia cream, barley, bronzed beige, and concord ivory at 75% strength. I forgot the other one?! So we are trying something to look great with concord ivory. This is where we are... rich cream is a very nice color---very tempting, but we wanted something more bold & to contrast more with our painted (acadia) trim. Philadelphia cream was one of my favorites, definitely less yellow and gold in this one, more of the beige family. We nixed it feeling we wanted to carry the golds. Barley looks very good with the concord ivory. It is very similar in terms of belonging to the same color family. It is a very nice warm, yellow/gold. Bronzed beige was very nice too. I thought it was too close to concord ivory and I do want the two colors to be noticed as different. The concord ivory at 25% was a very nice shade, just a little brighter yellow than the barley. We are trying to stear from too yellow, bright in hope to get more mustardy, yellow, warm golden. If that makes sense?! So as it stands I'm back to the paint store to try one more thing...barley at either 50% or 75%. I'm just curious as to how it will look lighter with more contrast. So it should definitely be barley for our winner, with a possibility of taking it to 50% or so. Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions. I will keep you posted on our progress:)

This is BM York Harbour (Something): I used the next 3 lighter shades in a room upstairs & really liked it a lot. They aren't bright glaring golds or yellows but instead very soft but not pastel. In the upstairs rm. I used Straw on the walls, Filtered Sunlight on the trim and Vanilla Ice Cream on the built in bookcase. The doors are darkly stained like the trim in the pic above. In my LR I sampled either Pittsfield Buff or Powell Buff and thought it looked really nice. It to is a room w/ lots of dark trim & little natural light. I was just biased towards a green color for the rm. though.

I have a large sample of White Dove here, and a small chip of Old Praire (I have the BM deck). They do look good together. It looks like enough contrast . It does not look like you were trying to match the cab colour, but missed (I think Swiss Coffee might have looked like a miss). Hopefully we will hear back from Lori. I am curious if she still recommends a crisper white like Cotton Balls, expecially after seeing the warmth in the counter and floor. I have found this post educational and am always glad to hear what Lori has to say on colours. Carol
