favorite yellows and golds here
Comments (151)So glad I found this thread, gold is so hard. :( I've used BM Ivorie and Blonde in past projects and always found them a bit yellow. I just did my bedroom, don't remember the color but looked gorgeous on the card, and it's too orange on the walls. My boyfriend's house has three different golds and I hate all 3 - not in his house necessarily, but not what I want. One is yellow, one is orange and the other, well, I don't know, just don't like it. I am on a tight budget and really don't have extra $$ to waste on a dozen sample pots, though if I can narrow it down to just 2 or 3 I'm sure it's worth that route rather than hating the color. Restrained Gold is lovely, but in my previous home I chose Fairmont Suite Gold over it (Lowes brand). Loved the color there, and it was with the same odd color leather sofa I am still using, but it was a huge house, very open with lots of light. The townhouse I'm getting ready to paint and move to is very small, no natural light, ugh. I really need lighter, but still gold without going yellow. Which of your GOLDS would you recommend that are on the lighter side without looking yellow or peachy?...See MoreWhite Trim with BM Concord Ivory (interior)
Comments (2)I really need to get some pictures, but I can let you know that I have a large open floorplan & we did concord ivory in our kitchen and then switched to BM's Barley in the family room area and we love it and have received many compliments. Also, for our trim we tested so many and ended up with BM's acadia. Perfect for us in our home. I'm sure you have tested concord ivory and know it is far from ivory:) I'm now looking at Rich cream for our foyer. Oh, if you are into "reds" We can see into our formal dining room from the "great room" areas and we did the wainscot and crown in acadia and the walls in morrocan red and a "yellow" ceiling (can't rememeber the color now). Best wishes and I hope you love your colors!...See MoreAnyone used BM da vinci's canvas?
Comments (2)Is Da Vinci's Canvas part of the new Aura (?) line? i couldn't find it in either of my BM fan deck's. I used BM York Harbor Yellow (1 over & on the very yellow side from BM Cork) as well as BM Straw (same strip as YHY & 1 over from Desert Tan. I like both very much but both are def. yellow but soft so they may not be quit what you're looking for....See Moreconcord ivory (bm)
