Looks like a type that was popular post WWII. They were mass produced and had multiple variations.

It's a Windsor style chair....that design and variations have been made for about 350 years. There may be something nifty under that white paint.

Thanks! It had been in a 100+ yr. old farmhouse for years. It's really comfy even without a seat cushion and the size was just perfect for the desk opening. I appreciate your feedback!

I would call it "farmhouse". I have a similar chair in my basement that came from my grandparent's house.

I think it is 1940's dining chair, I guess it could be called farmhouse. You see them everywhere and looks sweet with a little wooden table on a back porch or something similiar.
