Electrolux sent me a new metal panel by Fedex Next Day. I needed the metal panel on which the knobs were located.The authorized tech will come and install it in a few days. Covered by warranty. They didn't ask many questions. Incidentally, when the panel did not arrive last week when scheduled, I called them and they reordered it saying there must have been some confusion. I received it last week. But, to my surprise, two days ago, I got a second package with the electronic wave touch control panel that is located on the top of the range (albeit with a small plastic tab broken off in transit I suppose). They must have misunderstood the part I wanted the second time. So, in case my electronics ever get fried I now have a free spare. I just have to glue the broken tab back on. Go Electrolux!

It is very hard to clean etched glass with finger prints. Use windex and elbow grease. If the finger prints stay too long We usually have to re-etch to get them out. There are a few products that can seal the glass after etching, be careful though, as you don't want to apply something and have it make the glass clear again. This door was fine when it arrived but its been sitting for about 1 month. Now that it's due to go in I noticed a scratch that is almost eye level. HELP please.I will see that scratch every time I look at the door. I know they sell etching creams in craft stores but I never did it b4 and am worried I'll make the situation worse. Here's a picture of the damaged area maybe that will help someone come up with advice.

Your insert is painted with a high heat paint. You can get these paints at every stove shop. So for the installer to sand the unit and repaint it is perfectly OK. Some of these paints can withstand temperatures over 800 degrees. They are not your typical Krylon paint you get at the hardware store. Your insert will get scratched during it's use anyway, so it's always a good idea to have a can around for touch ups.
