insulation for old house

Hi,

I've built(retrofitted) old wooden storm windows(with insulated glass), re-caulked/weatherstripped all the doors. But am presently looking for a way to insulate the walls in half of my house (the half that has fieldstone exterior and plaster (horsehair included) interior walls. Quakers built the place(ca 1760), and used straw as insulation in some areas.

I don't want to tear out the plaster to insulate the house, but doubt that blown in insulation will help...any suggestions?

Dad
