SW Restrained Gold
Comments (3)I have Restrained Gold in a very dark North facing room. The only window in the room is a set of French doors that lead to a (north-facing) sunroom, which really isn't very sunny. In effect, there is no direct light coming into the space. The Restrained Gold is a great choice for this room because it isn't so light that the lack of light makes it muddy. It holds it's own and brings a lot of warmth to the room. I would use this color again in a similar situation. Nicole...See MoreNever-ending search for the perfect paint color!
Comments (10)I've been lurking on here for months now (usually hang out in the Texas Gardening Forum), so I guess now is as good a time as any to jump in! (Jump in before I start asking for help of my own) Anyway...Liz, I feel your pain! I went through the same thing with my DR. Tried SW Mannered Gold, Gallant Gold, Restrained Gold and a slew of others. While I LOVED the colors, I just didn't like them in MY DR. I ended up using SW Baguette. I felt like I was settling, just wanting to get it finished, but when the painting was complete, it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! A nice warm gold, a touch of "mustard" along with a little tan. It really surprised me. Don't let the swatch card fool you, give it a try! Michelle...See MoreSW Ivoire, Blonde & Restrained Gold question

I brought the SAME canvas into my kitchen- natural/honey toned cabinets and the color reads a little green :( Unfortunately its my kitchen that needs to be painted. I will remember the color for when I want to redo the LR....See MoreSW Restrained Gold
