Grant wants you to meet his new baby...

He is officially in love. We surprised the kids today with a new puppy. She's 9 weeks old and just the sweetest thing. I'm already in love!

Her name is Harlow!

Sorry for the glare-- didn't even notice it till now. OK- as far as I can "see" (microscopic type on the tag) It is a Hoya Rubra-- Hoya Carnosa Variegata? lol-- will have to look it up. The holding pot is clay, hole in the bottom. Both plants were in plastic pots, the Bromelaid came in that pot-- just got it mixed up while looking at them. But the Brome is now in the clay pot. (is that ok?) And yes- I am "branching" out.. just don't ask me where I am going to put them all this winter. OR when they get bigger... these kittens will be cats one day! ;) (if I do right by them) Anyway- so far I like them. Seen something on clearance (not these ones) for .50. I had a hard time deciding just what ones I wanted, took these 2, had just enough for them both. Couldn't get the other .50 out of my "brother"! silly person anyway. Wanted me to look it up before buying it. Good Grief! It was only 50 cents! Oh well, I am hoping to go back tomorrow and see if it is there. And no, I havent looked it up yet! lol Some type of Cactus is all I know, but it was cool looking. ;) (only reasn to buy a plant) But I hope they will be happy here. Marjie :)

I know it hasn't quite been a month but they're exploding and I just wanted to share a new photo. I had to take one leaf out (had four originally) and I made a makeshift pot with a clear tray used to catch water (the large clay pot was making me nervous after all... Thanks for the concern PG, you were right). Planto

Helene how's your mom today? i do hope she's comfortable. even though Al's illness is different from your dear mom's, i too have trouble with food when he is in hospital, especially when he won't eat. he too doesn't like smoothies, or Ensure or Boost. he is a water guy! loves his water! i think i bought every drink i could think of from the grocewry store, plus he doesn't like "soda" or as we call it here - pop. I think that the "husband and wife" are really something - this is in a good way! they are probably still the bests of friends. the world certainly has changed. i think you all remember me going to work for awhile afew years ago, and this nice young man about 20 said, are you going to sit beside me, i must have had a confusing look on my face and said yes or is someone going to sit here, he said no i'm gay you know, i looked him in the eye and said and your point being? boy, who cares, i said so i'm old enough to be your mom. we both had a good laugh. i also remember when i worked at the university here and when i came out of my office, one of the ladies in one of the outer offices that worked directly with students had on latex gloves i asked her what was going on, did she hurt herself, she said no i'm afraid of getting aids. can you believe this! time to get educated here! anyways people are people, we didn't get rid of Al because he has no legs (like that couple that lived across the street from us that were renting, and the guy saying, how could you live with someone like that, i said back to him, yes how could your wife?!). anyways i think it is something! will say a prayer for you, your family and your dear mom this afternoon. deb

OK, the car story is funny. When I heard Sharon & Clive were driving route 66 in a TBird convertible, I was thinking it was a '57 or perhaps an early 60's model. (my dad was/is a collector, I just assumed theirs would be an older model.) So I thought it would be fun to borrow one of my dad's cars for the day, to fit in with the whole Route 66 thing and park next to theirs. I'm almost to the restaurant, and I call Sharon to ask what year their car is. "2002". LOL!!! I laughed at myself and my incorrect assumption for a good 5 minutes.

I'm so happy for you and the kids. Harlow is yet another bundle of love for your home.

You know "Grandma Dakota" is thrilled that there's another Boxer bringing her special blessings to your home. Before long you'll have to build an addition or two to hold all the joy! LOL

Please keep posting photos of the kids, Harlow, and yourself. I've missed you.

Harry the Perfect and Sam the Not send their love, too.
