I'd often like to correct people, here, but usually forebear. The last "Anybody want one?" thread. I wanted to look up someone's name, but the thread doesn't result in the effort with the title or any word from the title or any combination. I even typed in "purple," knowing that word was used several times in the posts, but it still wasn't found. It should have been found even if the thread has rolled off the board though I doubt that has happened yet.

Maryl, that seedling I'd in full, all day sun. It does change a bit, but not in a bad way I think. It is rather an odd color, nice and tall, at least 38", and not splayed out. I have let it stay by the sidewalk because it keeps its place well. Maybe I need to cover Born to Run every night:) you never know where a plant will well. Celeste sent me Born to Run the same year I got Born to Reign. The next year the both bloomed. Born to Reign was a splotchy mess, I could barely stand to look at it, but you could see possibilities. Born to Run was beautiful. I don't think it had a bad bloom. The next year Born to Reign shaped up, simply stunning and has been wonderful since, unless early morning rain moves in, and pity the poor plan underneath it. BTReign bleeds all over it, a mess. Born to Run has not had as good a year since, a lot of splotchy, but when it is nice, Wow. Celeste, I hope it remembers too, it is on its 3rd bloom, each has been darker than the previous. It will be divine if it gets as dark as yours, hoping it just needs more time to settle in. It is really nice as it is, but would really be extraordinary that dark.

Debra, I totally agree. when I saw your photo of them I was instantly in love...I wanted them badly. I found one person who had them (Valley of the Dayllys) but only on paper. He managed to fine two tiny fans, but they did not survive. Those gorgeous fans you sent me did survive and they are thriving...they are taking turns, one day on fan, the next day the other fan blooms. They are just huge and nicely tall...So striking. You just remember... I will always share with you. kay
