Comments (9)Marti, if I were to share the blog here it would be also sharing my full name, town, phone no....just a little weird for me even though the (very few, I think) people who do read it also have access to that info. But since the blog is tied into our small town local newspaper, it has a limited audience. KYIM? Anyway, you're not missing too much. This forum has more valuable info than my blog does! :)...See MoreCL headboard possibility - what do you think?
Comments (31)Hey, thanks again for the input! Oh, and before I forget -- Deborahnj, little Tristan is doing beautifully! He's growing and thriving and is a cute little butterbean of a baby. Thank you for asking! :-) I know it sounds unbelievable that we could get a king mattress up the stairs, but not a headboard. Well, that's because a mattress bends! Not so with a headboard! And no, the little niche that you see just to the right of the bed is not a full size that you could fit a bed within. It's just a little bump-in that houses a small closet: I've actually looked on Craig's List for a pair of twin headboards that we could make work, but haven't found anything yet. I'll keep searching, though -- eventually something is bound to pop up! Thanks again for the wonderfully creative ideas! You've all given me a few more options to chew on. :-)...See MoreDo you think you see colors differently?
Comments (42)a long time ago i heard my brother listening to a song with the lyrics "the lemon of pink" and it made so much sense to me. most people i know would not have a clue how telling that statement is. yes, environment, in my opinion, plays a major role on how we see and understand color. look at the painters from Venice--their understanding of color was very different from painters elsewhere. environment can play a role in ways like it did with the impressionists, who were obviously very interested in things like color theory, painting outdoors, they had the benefit of collapsible paint tubes to do so, but also they often noticed reflected imagery (shop windows, wet cobblestone, etc) and their artwork reflects that (no pun intended). the worst is when someone calls blue "purple" or vice versa. these people obviously don't understand colors like indigo....See MoreWhat do you do with old bed pillows?
Comments (15)I take my old feather pillows and make new ticking for them, if they are getting thin, I combine two, restuff and as I am doing it spray with lots of lysol and than hang out on the clothesline in the sun and let the sun and fresh air and lysol work on the feathers. They end up nice. I get rid of the feathers that are all broken down. Usually the wind takes care of the really small ones. The foams, the dog or cat gets a new bed....See Moreparma42
