Off to NYC for the weekend!

Leaving today for my Anniversary get away I will post back to let you know how the restaurants, pastry & cheese shops worked out. Looking foward to a relaxing fun 2 days!

Not much time to assemble it in NYC. We're arriving and then dashing off shortly thereafter to see "War Horse" on Broadway. Can't wait. Will just assemble it here and pack it in an insulated bag with ice pack. Friend doesn't want anything under the crust so it just got easier. Son has asked for a trial run tonight. I hope you have a wonderful time, Eileen.

DH, myself and two other couples spent the entire day last Saturday food shopping and stocking up for winter. My favorite stop was Rocco's bakery in the West Village. Is that one on your list?

I would love to go to NYC....my grandkids and my son and my daughter in law just moved there from Tokyo.
They are really close to the Whole Foods Market near Columbus Circle.

Right near Rocco's is Murray's cheese shop. It is excellent. I work a few blocks from there.

Funny that you cant believe I said relaxing.........When a mother of 4 is kidless for 2 days it is relaxing even if you partying 24/7 and I did do that! LOL!! I found it very relaxing but Im so use to going going going a day with no one pulling at me looking for something and pondering my own thoughts instead of 6 peoples thoughts is very relaxing...funny to some but for me yes it was relaxing...could have been all that wine! LOL!!
