I held my tongue for a while & would have preferred to say this privately LoisFlan, but your Message feature isn't enabled. Your complement was lovely & welcome. But then your 2nd comment was rather a downer on my Happy, Celebratory & Proud thread. I gather you didn't realize what a downer that was & also note that it also shut down further conversation. "I wouldn't dare have my quilts judged. I'd be so embarrassed that I'd probably quit quilting." Pls don't comment like that one SOMEONE ELSE'S thread again. Was dIsheartening, dis-spiriting & a drag & made my thread about you. Your insecurity, your fear of judgment, your lack of confidence, I really didn't appreciate it.

I hope you have a wonderful time, Eileen.

DH, myself and two other couples spent the entire day last Saturday food shopping and stocking up for winter. My favorite stop was Rocco's bakery in the West Village. Is that one on your list?

Oh, Rocco's . . . That's me sitting just out of camera range on the right, drinking orzata. Love that place.

Have a happy anniversary and a great time, Eileen!

I would love to go to NYC....my grandkids and my son and my daughter in law just moved there from Tokyo.
They are really close to the Whole Foods Market near Columbus Circle.

Right near Rocco's is Murray's cheese shop. It is excellent. I work a few blocks from there.

Funny that you cant believe I said relaxing.........When a mother of 4 is kidless for 2 days it is relaxing even if you partying 24/7 and I did do that! LOL!! I found it very relaxing but Im so use to going going going a day with no one pulling at me looking for something and pondering my own thoughts instead of 6 peoples thoughts is very relaxing...funny to some but for me yes it was relaxing...could have been all that wine! LOL!!
