North East CFers

I know this is very last minute but, my DH and I are in Bar Harbor Maine and will be leaving this morning to travel down the coast until we reach PA and then we will travel across that state to return home to Michigan. It will take us about 4-5 days to get home. Do any of you live close to this area and be interested in meeting either for lunch or dinner one day? I know this might not work but it just might. Thought it was worth a try.

Well... your timing could be absolutely perfect to meet several CFers at The Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia next Sat Oct 23...... can you stretch the week?

Alexa, I would sooooo love to do that. I know you mentioned it in my post "New England here we come". We have to be home in Michigan on Wednesday the 20th. I'm so sad at missing this opportunity. Perhaps another time.

It is a prolific self-seeder, and all those narrow linear parts such as those featured in the last photo are seed pods. Unless you want a bazillion more next year, pull the plants, bag them, and put them in the trash quite soon. Otherwise all the seed pods will split open and release seeds. It isn’t native to the US. Be warned that the sap can stain, so dress accordingly.

Best sage paint color for a north east facing bedroom?

I don't have any color suggestions, but...you can't accurately see the colors when they're painted on top of a colored wall. You can get some poster board, cut it in quarters, and paint those (maybe pick your top few colors from your samples) and set those against the wall in various parts of the room and look at them at different times of day. Make sure they have white behind them (another piece of posterboard) so you can see the colors accurately and not have the current yellow wall color change them.

If you will be on or near Cape Cod, I would enjoy meeting you and your DH. There are a couple of other Cape Codders on CF who perhaps would join in. I've never met them, so that would be fun.

I am not far from Cape Cod either, infact just up the street from there :)

I would love to meet people from here. I am having surgery on Tuesday the 19th so anytime before then works for me other wise I am down for the count for a week or 2 while I recover.

You are welcome here. I am near Rt 80 and the NE extention of the Pa. Turnpike ( Rt. 476 )

Jim Thorpe is close by , about 10 minutes. It is a tourist
attraction this time of the year, for colors.

Just give me an Email.

If you can make it around Dinner time , I'll have it ready for you.

I have room for 6, to stay overnight!!! Or as long as you want.

I have to be in Delaware County, PA., on the 22nd.

No, Karen, I am in upstate NY, closer to Syracuse. If your route takes you on 81 North, from PA, you will be fairly close to me.

Thanks Jo, We will not be going home that way. We did come across New York when we headed east. I just didn't understand where you were, my mistake. Perhaps another time this will work, when we are out this way again.

I live an hour from Rt. 80 but unfortunately I too am driving back to MI so am not home!! Will be in MI all week but it is just for a job interview and time with aging parents.
