pumpkin cookies, was it worth it?

Well, it's the time of year to start using pumpkin again. I made a loaf of pumpkin bread in the convection microwave (using convection only setting) and it turned out very nice. Then I decided to make some pumpkin cookies. I'd never made them before, but they are good and I will certainly make them again. The icing really made these cookies. I left the icing off a few of them, and they are just not the same. They are very soft though. Sharon, I think I get an F in photo class... I took the picture at night and my "paper sweep" was parchment paper (the only think I had that I thought might work)... you can see the counter right through the paper! I'll get the hang of it yet.

The cookies:

True to form, I had a mishap. It was 3 AM when I decided to start baking so by the time the last batch came out, I was pretty tired. Not paying attention, I burned my arm on the cookie sheet while taking it out of the oven. It hurt a lot, but I put aloe gel on it and now it's OK. I guess the cookies were worth it, but I've never seen such a burn before! Of course everyone at work had to comment. I shoved their mouths full of cookies to shut them up.
