I am having a great time figuring out what you're saying with my own camera. My pictures have already improved remarkably. Sharon, I am trying to fathom quail eggs for a reasonable price. I am lucky to be able to get them for free, I have seen them for sale for more then $1 a piece. They are a convenient size when baking as well when you think a recipe would benefit form a little more egg. I am sure all of the topics will help me and be of interest. I struggle with both those topics. Especially the artificial lights in the winter as al our meals are after dark. I am using a DSLR that my DH recently got me and these still apply. -Robin

Thanks Phyllis! Yes I have seen that idea as well as using a 5 gallon white plastic jug from laundry softener and cutting a hole, or a big white plastic basin. A lot of the success depends on the strength of the lamps you use outside to light up the inside of the container. And if you have a DSLR with a flash that can be tilted up towards the ceiling or behind, you can use an airline barf bag (excuse the term) slipped over the flash attachment to diffuse the light. I'm uploading these tutorials onto their own blog, at the rate one per week, with links to other interesting places and will also be adding some sections on using a DSLR: aperture and depth of field, understanding f stops, shutter speed, bracketing exposures and a little more. You're right - Gina was holding the camera for that video, as you can tell from her voice, which is the most prominent. I have a lot of raw video with other demonstrations that I have not had time to get around to editing yet. I don't even have my sewing room completely organized yet for video editing, although the computer I use for video editing is already set up there - along with two sewing machines, which have been getting a lot of use lately. When I finish making all the drapes, curtains, pillows, and cushions that I need, I will convert the room to a video editing room. Unfortunately, it is too small to be both simultaneously. I'm still in the process of settling in, and I guess it's going to take a full year. Lars
