I saw you post for the first time on the thread about "do you like the geographical area where you live" thread. Glad you joined us. Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself.

I'm welcoming you from southern Ontario.

I'm confused - don't agents work for the insurance companies? I'm not an insurance expert by any means but isn't there some possibility of liability down the road if an incident isn't reported? Say there's a problem with the car that isn't immediately noticeable so the Mercedes dealership won't fix it later on when it becomes apparent and neither will your insurance since it wasn't reported. Then you might be liable to fix it yourself since there's no proof or record anywhere with your insurance. You might want to get a second opinion Glenda. You seem to be doing just what you are told and not questioning it, but sometimes people are self-serving and not necessarily looking out for your best interests. It can't hurt to get some additional information.

Couple of things..... Is it only Fun2BHere's yard they are playing in and only her drive and side walk they are chalking up? If so....why is that? and if not...what do the others think....have they gone ballistic over the "intrusion"? And did it ever occur to you that by washing the chalk off the sidewalk you are providing them with a nice clean surface to draw on again? Just try leaving it there....I'll bet they won't add to their drawings. When I was a child I was allergic to all manner of stuff and it was a rule that I couldn't eat anythning without showing my mother what I was given and getting permission. So when my kids and grands were little, my words were.."Run home and ask your mother if you can have a cookie". Of course the answer always was "she doesn't care"...but I would insist....or say "well then I'll save the cookies until you are ready to go home then give you some." Another thing, often when there is something that "annoys the hell out of me"...I discover that the problem is my attitude and if I adjust that, I am a much happier person. Linda C

My little dog has a ton of toys but she particularly likes a small round hedgehog toy with a very cute sounding squeeker. I buy them at bed bath and beyond. She now has several of them because I worry what will happen if I can not find them, so I just bought several. They are her menions! She has jobs for all of them. There is one in the window in the front of the house guarding the front, there is one at the slider door in the sunroom watching the back. The others have various stations around the house including at her food bowls. She plays with them for hours, she rolls them, throws them, bats them around like a soccer player and she usually has one in her bed or in our bed. She is hilarious to watch with her menions. I have bought the same toy for my neighbors black lab who loves it, and for one of my best friends little min pin who won't let anyone else touch it she loves the thing so much. I don't know what it is about this particular toy but every dog just loves them. I have seen other hedgehogs and in fact bought her another type and she leaves it in the toy box untouched. This is exactly the one she loves, she has several of the small ones which she loves, we found the big momma one and bought it but she won't play with it at all. Talking Hedgehog Plush Dog toy

I should have mentioned that our congregation is a reconciling congregation which "welcomes and affirms all persons without regard to gender, ethnic background, sexual orientation", etc. But the United Methodists world-wide can't come to a commitment to agree with that. Therefore, our pastors are prohibited from performing same sex marriages. Our pastor did participate in this wedding and mentioned how he was looking forward to the day that he can perform these marriages in our church. There are at least four families in our church that have openly gay adult sons or daughters. Gay people feel welcome and accepted in our congregation.

I read your entry on my "do you like where you live" post and discovered we're not too far away from each other. The Lancaster area of PA is beautiful. I hope you visit here often

Welcome from Mississippi, Salgal. I went to Lancaster a few years ago for business. I was only there for a couple of days visiting the Kellogg plant. There wasn't much time to do any sight seeing though. When I got back home I told my best friend we have to go there for vacation one day. It was so pretty.

A little about me...
I am recently divorced after 19 years. (I so badly wanted to post a few times about that...) But I'm on to better things now:)
I do not have any children and unfortunately am probably on the edge of being too old.
I live in a log home, I built my own kitchen! I have 3 cats that have my heart completely. One was born with 3 legs so he is my baby, and he knows it.
I travel a lot for my job. That is tough on new relationships.
I lost 30 pounds last year - gained back 10 - working now to get back...
I am one of 6 girls. I have a wonderful, supportive family and am lucky to still have both parents.
I am, strangely enough, short on friends these days. I guess divorce has a way of sorting out the real ones. On the other hand I have 5 best friends/sisters!
I do like to work in my yard and have herb beds that do fairly well. I do most of my gardening with one of my sisters - she has a farm about a mile away from me. Twice the fun, half the work!
I just finished reading The Shack. Very, very interesting. Now working on a book about Winston Churchill.
I love to cook - but not baking.
Lancaster county is indeed a special place. ( you want to talk about bargain shopping?? - don't get me started!)
I have read so many posts and comments, I feel as if I know many of you and your personalities already. I am looking forward to many new friendships here.
Oh, and I love coffee...thanks for inviting me to "the table".
