I Need Help From People Who Use Bread Machines!

I love my new Cusinart Bread machine, but sometimes it just doesn't produce the high, light breads I'm looking for. Then today I bought some "bread machine yeast", and now I'm really confused. The recipes in the booklet that came with the machine say to heat the liquids to between 80 & 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and that's what I've been doing. (I use a cooking thermometer to make sure of the exact temperature, and all other ingredients are at room temperature.) The directions on the Bread Machine Yeast say that if you are mixing the yeast with dry ingredients, you should heat the liquids to between 120 & 130 degrees Fahrenheit -- a BIG difference! However, this latter arrangement is familiar to me as it's how I used to do it when I made bread by hand. So now I'm confused. When I use the Bread Machine, I start by putting all of the liquids into the machine, and then I put all of the dry ingredients into the machine, and the yeast is the very last ingredient to ever go in. So is the reason I'm not getting the proper rise out of my loaves because I'm not heating my liquids hot enough? What are other people doing? Many thanks in advance! MacThayer
