How can I get rid of other grass growing in my St. Augustine
Comments (8)I was thinking the same thing. You can't get rid of bermudagrass without killing the St. Augustine. The good news is the St. Augustine stolons grow a half inch a day in the summer. So killing the yard and starting over wouldn't take long. You say the front yard is nearly perfect so in the perfect areas use some of your yard as a nursery and plug the back. The front will recover quickly and the back will soon be looking as good as the front. The key is using the top labeled amount which could range from 3 to 5 ounces per gallon. Then to use it as soon as you can then in about 2 weeks. You should have pretty much wiped out the back lawn. I would then cut the grass as low as possible then plug all you can. Keep it well moist and then wait. I would think by the end of next year you should have a solid back yard. Good luck....See MoreCan you look at one more wedding gown?
Comments (16)I think the skirt is lovely. I don't like the top or the headdress. What is the name of that piece that wraps around her shoulders? Whatever it's called, I think it does nothing for her. I would rather have seen the gown skirt with an off-the-shoulder neckline using, say, tiny cap sleeves. Something more fitted, to balance out the gorgeous poof of a skirt. As for the headdress, I think it's much too substantial for such a romantic dress....See MoreProblem spots in my grass. What are they, how can I get rid of them?
Comments (2)I can't identify specifics but it's a bunch grass type of plant growing in a sod forming type of turf. Since they are small the best approach is to dig them out before they get bigger. For the larger area you might want to spray a grass killer like Grass B Gone. That will kill the surrounding grass, too, so digging might be a better alternative. If the surrounding grass is something like Kentucky bluegrass or bermuda, it will fill in by itself over time. If the surrounding grass is a more well-behaved fescue, then you will need to overseed in the fall to repair the bare spots. Fescue does not spread to fill in like KBG or bermuda....See MoreProblem spots in my grass. What are they, how can I get rid of them?
