Question about posting links

Is there a way to use the "here's a link that might be useful" function to post more than one link? Of course I know you can just paste the url in the message but those are often soooo long. Maybe some of the web gurus out there know code for doing this.

No, but if you learn a bit of HTML code you can easily post multiple links in your posts

And if you want a little link, go to the unmentionable site where you can turn your long address into a smaller one, but I can't post the name:

Thanks hopefulauther - Aeonium, will try and source one [or two] of those down. Chemocurl - no problems at all copy/paste and quote all you want,,,,if it means getting pictures posted, I'm all for it. Many message boards don't seem to have decent instructions on posting pics, if they have any info at all. Guess that's where we all come in :-)

With photobucket, you are right, if you move them you break the link, and of course deleting them, but I don't think by adding pic to an album will break a link because I add pic to my album all the time and it is still OK. But I know when I tried to move my pic to a Sub-Album within the Photobucket it warns about breaking original links. As far as GW goes, since this is a slower moving forum, the pages last longer, you will see old Posts disappear very quickly off the Main Decorating forum, the server only seems to "hold/store" posts for so long in that Section... I can still do a search on my name and find my pictures from last year, whereas in the main decorating forum, my stuff is long gone.

Pud, it is a very beautiful fabric. I was showing it only for a reference color. I have that fabric sample right here in front of me because I am looking for drapery fabric as well. It is Robert Allen. I am afraid unless you are doing a very straight drapery it will be too heavy. I want to do some sort of pleat so I can't use it. But I am 99% sure I will use it on my bar stools. Having said that if you decide to use it, it's on sale for 71.82 per yd. (30.78 savings) I am looking for very similar fabric only lighter in weight. I will let you know if I find something. Post the HTML code from photobucket into the body of the message here. The photo should appear when you hit "preview message." Oddly, your HTML code is different than usual; in my album they start with You can try it yourself, but just to prove it works, here's your picture. It's a beauty, and I love your wall colour too! When you post a link you can make the name of the link anything you want. You don't have to use the entire URL as the name of the link, either in the instructions I gave or in the Optional Link URL box.

Correct Terri. There is so much text loaded with each page (try View>Page Source or the equivalent on your browser) that the hidden URL is no big deal.

I think that using the site that cannot be mentioned (it has the word TINY next to the word URL then a DOT COM ?) will cause your posting to be bounced as well. :-/
