I was just thinking the other day about stupid warnings you read that come with things, you know like never iron clothing on your body and that sort of stuff.
This one is really stupid!

That's so funny! You should send it to Consumer Reports magazine, they print "bloopers" every month.

That's not a "blooper." Remove batteries if consumed means "remove the batteries if they are completely used up," which is the same as "remove the batteries if they are dead."

I'm willing to bet the complete sentence is Remove batteries if consumed or if product is to be left unused for a prolonged period of time."

You should always remove dead batteries; and you should always remove batteries, whether dead or not, if the "product" isn't going to be used for quite a while because dead batteries and batteries that aren't being used regularly will leak battery acid, and that has a huge potential to damage the "product."

Many of the warnings are put on due to the fact some person has done something stupid. The company gets sued, then the company has to print warnings to protect themselves. Like that old lady that put hot coffee in her lap, drove, spilled it then sued and won.
Another note how many kids (babies could and do put anything in their mouths, swallow, hospital, sue, and another warning.

Bumpkin, over by the Catholic hospital, don't know what it's been renamed, on Rainbow Drive, where all the doctors offices are there was a sign that always caught my eye: Eyes, Nose and Ears parking ONLY!

I remember that sign Glenda! Don't know if it's still there. I'll have to check next time I'm down that way!
