I hear ya...what life? Not really, but I don't usually have any interesting news to share and have no way to post any pictures. KT will always be a part of my day and my life, I hope. :)

There's nothing like puppy-love. Even when our puppies are 6, or 9, or 17. I love my boys, Harry and Sam. Harry is my heart. I enjoy everything more when he is with me. Sam is loved, too; but my heart was so filled with Harry it was very hard when DH insisted on getting another puppy. (Two big hunting dogs in our little house and me barely able to move at the time.) I was very sick for the first 18 months we had Sam. I wasn't able to work with him, train him, or bond with him properly. In his defense, he adores me and tries so hard to be a good puppy. He fails, miserably, LOL, but he does try. Now that I'm functioning again I try to make a special block of "Sam Time" every day. Harry and Sam aren't the best of friends, but I've worked with Sam enough that he knows he can't hurt Harry. Sometimes they actually play together. Right now they're both piled up on the couch, bum-to-bum, lightly snoring. Enjoy your friend! He will be true forever.

Well, I mean, I have to go to work, I have to go to the grocery store. There's no use stressing out about the added expense because I can't change it. I have a small car and only commute a few miles to work so I only have to fill up maybe once a month. I do feel for people with long commutes or who have to drive around a lot. What I definitely don't do is shop around for gas prices. I guess I don't understand driving around town and fighting the crowds to save a few pennies, and I think you don't net much savings after the added miles or even idling waiting for a spot to open. I would understand a substantial difference, like $2 a gallon, but I've never seen a difference more than a few cents. My time is valuable to me so I just pick based on convenience even if it costs a dollar or two more to fill up.

I really do like how bright it made that area look. I like it with the floor (which we both just love). I'm concerned that wood will look too "woody" traditional with the floor and table. Also, I thought it might be a good backdrop for the granite and backsplash which I have all along been coveting as my potential stars. Again... I can tell DH is not convinced. Not objecting, but I feel like it's a big concession for him. He actually values the opinions I get from this forum.
