I HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY WITH 20000 MILES ON IT. I GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT A FEW MONTHS AGO. I CRASHED INTO A CURB WITH MY RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE RIM. BECAUSE OF THIS MY RIGHT FRONT BALL JOINT AND LOWER CONTROL ARM WERE BENT. THE RIM SUFFERED COSMETIC DAMAGE BUT I ORDERED A NEW ONE. I REPLACED THE PARTS AND GOT A WHEEL ALLIGMENT AND BALANCE. ONCE I GOT ON THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED THAT MY VEHICLE WOULD SWERVE TO THE LEFT. I LET THE STEERING WHEEL GO AND NOTICED THAT IT SLIGHTLY TURNED TO THE LEFT. I ALSO EXPERIENCED A VIBRATION ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND REST OF THE CAR AS I BRAKED AT SPEED OF 60- 65 MPH. I ALSO NOTICED THAT AT HIGH TRAFFIC TIMES IN STOP AND GO SITUATIONS MY VEHICLE WOULD TURN COMPLETELY TO THE LEFT AS I WOULD LET THE STEERING WHEEL GO. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY RECOMMENDED ANOTHER ALLIGNMENT, BALANCE AND ROTOR REPLACEMENT. I ALLIGNED THE VEHICLE AND BALANCE THE TIRES, I DID NOT REPLACE THE ROTORS. NOTHING CHANGED. THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE. I AM THINKING OF REPLACING THE ROTORS SOON TO SEE IF IT CORRECTS THE VIBRATION. I AM WONDERING IF THERE IS ANOTHER PART IN THE FRONT END THAT MIGHT OF GOTTEN DAMAGED THAT COULD CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO TURN LEFT. I NEED HELP. WHAT DO YOU THINK I SHOULD DO. I

I have the same issue and for a long time I could not figure out how the rain water is landing on top the car especially after I weather-stripped the top and sides of the door - until today when I just happened to open the garage door to clean the water mess on the car, the water came pouring through the sectionals of the door! Now it is simply not just the few drops of water that is the nuisance - if your car has some or lots of) dust the water drops create a messy look after the water drops on the car dry out - it looks really yucky on most cars and especially on a black car! If you want to go out and it is still raining, sure, the mess will be washed off but what if it is bone dry outside (sunny or not) - one is compelled to wash the mess off oneself or take the car to the car wash, unless one is ok with a messy looking car. This is quite annoying if this happens frequently as it does in the rainy season.

You and daughter and families will be pleased to hear of what injuries the boy suffered and how he's doing ... and, as others have said, we are pleased to hear how things are going with him. Is there any news as to whether it is known who caused the boy's injuries and anything of the circumstances? ole joyful

Hi, no one here knows me, but I wandered in here and found this thread that reminded me of my own Dad, who, when ten years younger than yours, took off in a van with minimal camping gear and spent just short of a year traveling, hiking, camping, gold-panning. He was surely depressed and angry when he started out. He handled his depression by doing a lot of lashing out at people, being very defensive, critical, and being an obnoxious know-it-all. I was a teenager at the time he took off, so I was glad he left and I did not hear from him in all that time. Now from an outsider's point of view there were other normal things he should have been doing during those months-- such as getting a job to support his still young kids. But, again, I was glad to be rid of him. And he came back a much more relaxed person, with lots of stories of places, people, animals, close calls with rocky cliffs and gravity; hot burritos bought from a tiny store in the middle of no-where on a rutted dirt road, climbing out of narrow river canyons when sudden storms threatened to flash flood; many pans of popcorn shared with others at park campgrounds, his cleverness at figuring out how to bake a chocolate cake over a fire to share with the popcorn eaters. And yes, he even got lost in a desolate place a time or two. He had a zillion stories to tell for the rest of his life. He spent months in nature and did not have to live up to anyone's standards, didn't have to prove himself better than others (which he was always trying to do previously), didn't have to do anything but let the sun shine down, wash his laundry occasionally, and see what was out there, how the clouds looked, where the fish would bite. I don't know what to say about how he faced or dealt with his failures that were part of how depressed he had been. He never did talk about that, but he was easier to live with afterward. I can see that his trip into another world was soothing, healing, "smoothing" for him. I won't say his solitary travels made him into a new person, but he was much more relaxed for ever after. Oh, he also got more physically healthy-- lost weight, gained muscle, built stamina, even ate healthier. He became a person who could almost always find something to enjoy. Thank goodness. Maybe it was his walkabout.
