Need a suggestion for storing outdoor furniture cushions
Comments (0)I have several sets of outdoor furniture and storing 30+ cushions is taking up WAY too much space in my basement. Buying plastic totes for this many cushions is too cost prohibitive. Does anyone have a mice-proof way of storing cushions in an outdoor shed? I heard that rodents don't bother anything that is stored in black plastic bags with dryer sheets. I would suspend the bags on a metal pole. Thank you....See MoreStore makes cushions firmer using off market foam, good idea ?
Comments (2)Instead of changing the cushions have you considered finding a sofa with a higher seat? It's much easier to get up from a sitting position when the hips are above, or even, with the knees. I don't find firm cushions comfortable to sit on and am afraid you may not enjoy sitting on the sofa if you make changes in the cushions. If you can't find a taller sofa, consider having the feet changed in order to add some height on the sofa you like. DH has a history of bad knees (replacement done a couple years ago) and we always bought furniture based on the seat height....See MoreWhere do you store the cushions to your outdoor furniture?
Comments (21)I looked at storage boxes but sometimes space and spending money on that may not work for everybody, and bringing them in and out was annoying on a daily basis... I bought a giant square cover that goes over the sectional couch and then the fire pit props out the empty corner - just throwing that over everything was the cheapest and easiest solution for me. I'll bring cushions in for the winter and use the same cover over the furniture frames, even if I have to buy a new cover every year or 2 it still made the most sense. Any recommendations for patio furniture that is comfortable WITHOUT cushion, please post! :)...See MoreStoring porch furniture cushions
Comments (10)I have used contractor bags for storage of our cushions with no problem. One year I left a cheap throw pillow out all winter in our covered porch. Just forgot to put it away. The next spring I found a mouse/squirrel/chipmunk had chewed a hole in one corner. Never had a problem with anything I put in the bags in the attic. Maybe you could put a few glue traps near where you store them or scatter some mothballs nearby. Mice don’t care for the odor, so I’m told....See More- 16 years ago
