What's for dinner 2/4/11?

We're having Italian subs and potato chips. Had running around to do this afternoon so I picked up dinner while I was out. I've really gotten off the hook this week with eating leftovers. But they're all gone now, so it's back to the old grind tomorrow.

What are you having tonight?

I'll be heading to the kitchen now, to make a nice big pot of cabbage soup.

Got the garlic and onions already peeled and cut up.

I COOKED TODAY! don't faint

Stayed in all day. Haven't poked my head out the door.

Minute steak
baked potato: dry, s&p only

Many thanks all for your thoughts. We opted to separate the wet and dry areas (or as dry as a small place can be; it will be wet area and damp area) so looking at your comments and options, we'll go with a curbless shower area, with a frameless sliding glass door for this. For the other which is just a shade broader @ 3'4 will try an open shower one. nycdevil you have a lovely shower space- the colours in our bathroom are very similar to yours. Is yours curbed or curbless? I so wanted a seating ledge but given the space, will make do with a Japanese bathing stool.

Heart-shaped meatloaf --very cute, georgysmom! My dinner was just a tuna sandwich, because I had a late lunch of a Greek gyro in a pita w/tzaziki sauce, Greek salad (feta, lettuce, cukes and a delicious dressing), fries. If you watch "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," you might recall the restaurant: Metro 29 Diner in Arlington, Va. Deeeelish lunch! This is the place with the bakery in the basement and makes French toast with home-baked challah (bread). (Funny thing: There was a couple at one table who were talking about the show, and I'm pretty sure they were first-timers, and at another table was a family of 6, also first-timers because of the show!) If you ever come to the D.C. area, you've got to stop in there!

I hope you like it Phyllis. I never thought of adding the vegetables to it, but it sure is a good idea. Glenda, I'm ready to move into that assisted living home. Lunch sounds delicious! My SonIL's grandparents live in an assisted living place in Largo and my daughter really wants to move in. I think she has a few years to go. :-)

The pork chops I took out this morning haven't thawed. So tonight we will go out to our favorite Chinese restaurant for dinner.
