Cathy : How did I miss your Message ??? Sherry :This started when I asked my butcher to slice some Sirloin thin for Sandwich Steaks. He sliced them a little too thick for Philly cheese Steaks. Sooooooooo !!!! I used my imagination and came up with this.Not hard to do. Just found the recipe: From Luigis Kitchen Stuffed, Large Roasted Braciole , Surf and Turf. I dont think this has been done before but Im not sure. Here are the Stuffing Ingredients: Seasoned Bread Crumbs, 2 cups, with Garlic powder, 1/3 teaspoon Onion Powder, 1/3 teaspoon Salt and a Pinch of Old Bay Seasoning Parsley Crushed , 1 teaspoon Parmesan Cheese I tablespoon 1 Tablespn. of Pwd. egg, or 1 egg mixed with the 1/2cup water, below 1/3 cup of Onions chopped small and cooked 3 min. in Micro Wave ¼ teaspoon of Black Pepper Mix all these ingredients together well. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Other Ingredients for the stuffing are; 2 Hardboiled Eggs, sliced. ½ cup of Olives and Capers chopped Mushrooms ( optional ) Cooked Shrimp Pepperoni pieces Also, add whatever you like . Maybe some Provolone Cheese? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If using regular egg ,mix in here, when cool. In a ½ cup of hot water, mix 1 heaping teaspoon of, Chicken Soup Base and add this to the Bread Crumb mix. Dont mix too much ! And just blend to dampen, Not too wet. Lay one piece of Steak in a large Platter or whatever you choose. The piece in the Photo is about 6 in. X 12 in. Spread all the Bread Crumb stuffing mix on this evenly. Place all the Other Ingredients on the stuffing evenly. I put smaller pieces of the steak under the side and let them hang out for wrapping the Braciole as it is rolled. Lay another large piece ( the same size, as the bottom piece of the sirloin. Start rolling the steak, folding in the side pieces as you go. Hog tie the whole mess very good !!! I Browned this well and put it into the Waterless Roasting Cooker With 1/2 cup of water Now it is Ready, to go in the Oven with the Potatoes It baked 1 ¾ Hours,at 350 deg. The internal temperature went to 160 degrees.

AFAIC all lasagna noodles are "oven ready"! And no boil on top of it unless you want to. Slippery wet noodles after cooking is easily eliminated. I put them in a colander and drain them after cooking and rinse them with cold water to stop cooking. Let them drain in the colander while I prep stuff and they dry off a bit and are easy to handle. But I've quit boiling the noodles. I sometimes will soak them a bit to make them flexible and easy to trim if needed but don't bother cooking. The trick to using dry noodles is to have them completely submerged and I cover with foil or cook in the Nesco. They cook in the sauce. Add a little extra water, beer, wine or whatever to make the sauce a little thinner to cook them and the sauce will thicken up as you cook it off.

I didn't do it this past weekend because I thought that's what we were doing. Well, that, and I've been very busy and was gone last weekend. So, the pasta party and pasta cookalong are/were two different things? Thats okay, as I could eat pasta every day...well, I could if I wanted to gain 300 pounds, lol. Bring on the cream cheese, because I'll buy it thinking I'll use it, then it will sit in the fridge for months before I toss it because it's old. It'll be good to get some recipes. Ideal picnic food. Tomato â€" 2 cups, dice by hand, no need to peel or seed. Or, quarter a bunch of cherry tomatoes, which is labor-intensive but flavorful. Parmesan or Asagio or similar salty, hard cheese - 1/2 cup, grated. Chop coarsely by hand: Basil â€" 1-2 cup fresh leaves (or chiffonade which looks prettiest) Garlic â€" 2-3 cloves Almonds â€" ½ cup or more, toasted lightly Optional - a couple of shallots, a bit of fresh mint. Combine. It was delicious and I used the anchovies, lemon zest, and olives. The instructions did not say when to add in the anchovies, so I added them in with the onion as I have seen done on the food network. My husband and I both went back for seconds. Orecchiette with Spicy Sausage and Broccoli Rabe Courtesy of Giada Delurentis. Ingredients: 3TBOlive Oil 1 pkg spicy sausage casings removed 2 bunches Broccoli Rabe (I use one) 3-5 cloves garlic minced pinch of dried red pepper flakes (or more if you can take it) 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated 1/2 tea fresh ground black pepper Directions: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Boil Broccoli Rabe for one minute. Strain broccoli rabe reserving all cooking liquid. Cook orecchiette in the same water as the broccoli rabe until al dente. Drain reserving one cup of cooking liquid. Meanwhile cook sausage in large skillet with oil breaking into pieces. Cook until brown and juices form. Add garlic and red pepper, saute until fragrant. Add broccoli rabe toss to coat . Add pasta and enough reserved cooking liquid to keep moisten. Stir Parmesan salt to taste and fresh ground pepper to taste into mixture. Remove casings from sausage, crumble and cook in oil with crushed pepper until sausage is no longer pink, about 7 minutes. Add onion and garlic and cook another 5-7 minutes until tender. Drain tomatoes, chop coarsely and stir into sausage along with cream, salt and basil. Simmer until mixture thickens slightly, about 4 minutes. In a separate pot of boiling water cook pasta al dente. I make fresh pasta for lasagna, and I roll it out with a rolling pin even though I have a pasta machine and a pasta attachment for my Kitchaid mixer. I like to bake it in a Corningware pan, and I roll the pasta out into a squircle to fit the pan exactly - thus each layer has only one sheet of pasta. For the pasta dough, I use 1/3 cup whole wheat flour, 1/3 cup semolina flour, and 1/3 cup white flour, plus 2 eggs and 1/2 tsp salt. I generally mix the dough in a small bowl, as that is easier for me than cleaning a food processer bowl. I get six or seven sheets the size of the Corningware pan, depending on how this I want to make the pasta. If I wanted it thicker, I would divide the dough into five balls instead of six or seven. I only roll the dough out when I am ready to assemble, as it can crack if it gets too dry. I never boil fresh lasagna noodles before assembling them, and they should not be allowed to dry out. I'm planning to make this tonight.
