Jubilee Joe's called my name today, and being I was at the mall, it was just down the road.

Crawfish are in, and they were busy busy busy at 1:00.

I had a fried oyster plate with slaw and a cup of chicken and sausage gumbo, no rice. Sure was good.

They serve the oysters with horseradish mayo which is delightful.

I added cooked chicken and turkey to the corn chowder I made today. Add some crackers and it's enough for the meal. I also made porcupine balls today so I ate one of those too.

Tonight DH will have the chicken kabobs I bought at Sprouts, last night he had the stuffed clam shell's, I cooked two, he could only eat one~I made 3 sides so it was a lot~he ate the other one for lunch today. They were good he said and a big SCORE! They only cost $1.25 each;)

I went for a mamo and bone density test today and cruised Target~~went by Angel Thai, a restaurant I have been wanting to try~~I got the lunch special~~it was Pad Thai (noodles) with fried tofu, I do not like the texture of tofu unless it is fried. It came with soup, a hand roll or egg roll~~I got hand roll, never had one before it was yum;) And steamed Jasmine rice which I love~~all for $7 and change. And I have enough left for dinner~~I did not even have the soup yet~~I will add some veggies and fresh fruit which DH will also eat and I am done;)

We're having Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup, a recipe that I got from KT. Many thanks to whoever posted the recipe. We have made it a couple of times and really like it.

Glenda, I just love fried oysters--it's about the only seafood I like fried. When we were in Louisiana once we had an oyster po'boy. Now THAT was gourmet :-) I like that sauce idea.

Shirley, nice way to enhance leftovers! Soup is always better the second (or third) time.

YogaLady, hope your tests come out clean. I wish we had a good Thai restaurant here. There may be one, but we haven't found it. It's amazing how little they charge for so much food in any oriental restaurant. Plus, you get to enjoy it again. Win, win!!

Hi, Stacey_mb and welcome! I see you live in Canada and we sure love our northern neighbors around here. I don't know who posted the slow cooker chicken and wild rice soup but I totally love the stove top version Jasdip posted a few years back. I think I could eat it weekly, but Harry isn't as hot for it as I am. Hope you'll join in and post a lot!!!

I passed by Cracker Barrel yesterday and purchased last night and today's dinners. I'd be having breakfast meal for dinner: pancakes, sausage & scrambled eggs :)

Ordered pizza with roasted tomatoes and garlic for dinner.

I put a nice beef roast in the oven with red potatoes and lots of onions, will of course have some wonderful rice and gravy with it. Smells wonderful. Got to have my rice and gravy fix!

Raven, you Cajun you! Maybe I'm half-Cajun, too, since I love rice with gravy. Never had it growing up, but sure did take a liking to it after I tried it once. Your dinner sounds delicious (especially the "lots of onion" part). Bet your house smells just wonderful!
