We have a Mr. Coffee 4-cup coffeemaker in the guest room, and it's great for making 2 mugs' worth of coffee. It uses smaller filters, which are easy to find and inexpensive. You can also use the regular-sized filters in it. The coffeemaker cost $20.

I don't bother with a coffee pot anymore since I've switched to instant coffee and tea.

We have the same as wanda, also we have a coffee press for those times times that I want a different coffee than hubby, he doesn't like his as strong as I like it.

I used to have a small 4-cup that we took with us when we traveled. Now most motel rooms have coffee makers in the room, but it was handy to take ours along. The basket filters are easy to buy.

I have a KitchenAid 4-cup coffee maker at work, which is perfect for me. I don't think they make them anymore but you might be able to find one online somewhere. Shortly after I bought it, I bought a second one, just so I'd have it when the first one eventually gives out. :-)

Jasdip, I hope YOU thoroughly clean the both the basket and the carafe of those motel room coffee makers before you use them!

Because I like only really fresh coffee, I use a 6 cup cheapie ($10. on sale) to make my four cups (display site glass says 4 cups but it's only enough for two mugs. Drink it while it's very hot & I'm finished before it tastes 'old' to me.

It makes really fast, so just make more if we have guests. Gave up on Mr Coffee brand...they just do not last long enough.

Next one that we get will be one of the ones that the coffee goes directly into a thermo carafe(sp). I hate drinking coffee that tastes like it's been cooked!

I have a 4 cup Mr. Coffee that works great. I use it when we travel, but coffee is always hot and good. Mine is not programable. I use a timer with it when we travel. Nothing like waking up to fresh brewed coffee! Here's the one I use.

I've had a 4 cup Mr. Coffee for several years that I use almost every day as DH does't always want coffee and I get 2 large mugs out of it, just right for me or enough for DH and me. Second cup will be fresh also, I never leave the 12 cup brewer to sit, I pour it into a preheated thermos if there will be a wait. I think I only paid about $15 for my Mr. Coffee and I can program it to delay the start time.

I use a French press, which takes up almost no space and makes hot, fresh coffee in minutes. All you do is put the right amount (1 tablespoon pp) of coffee grounds into the glass carafe, pour in boiling water, wait three munites, insert the strainer, and voila! coffee. Clean up is very easy as well. French presses come in a variety of sizes, but you can make fewer cups in a bigger pot if that's what you have.

I'm the only coffee drinker at my house. I have a 4-cup Mr. coffee. I make one pot a day, drink two cups hot in the morning and make iced coffee in the afternoon.

Gee, I stopped making coffee because I have 2 big coffee makers and it's only just me to drink the coffee. I think I'll go in search of the smaller Mr. Coffee whenever this snow lets up. Thanks for the suggestion!! Hanging out on the computer is good for something!
