Comments (150)Happy Pre Thanksgiving everyone!! Or should I say Prep Thanksgiving, lol. Half the day we're chopping and getting ready for tomorrow. We have 9 coming for dinner tomorrow. Kids are so excited!! Jeanne, I want to add my THANK YOU!! for this wonderful swap!! Sorry for my delay in mailing, but, I did love it :D Annie, THANK YOU for jumping in with all the wonderful games :) So much fun!! I hung my sparkly Lady Liberty up so she can enjoy Thanksgiving. Tomorrow night we put up the tree with family. A tradition we have had since I was a very little girl with my grandfather. Don't know how much "Black Thursday" shopping I'm going to get done. Probably none. My kids want such off the wall things this year, that most stores don't even have what they are looking for, lol. Found a great science catalog for some of Billy's things, still looking for Taylor, lol. Love my unique kids :D Have a great day everyone!!! vina...See MoreLOOKING for: Easy Everyday Cooking Recipe Cards
Comments (344)This is so awesome!!! You are so generous to post and share! I am trying to figure out if these are the same recipes from a magazine that my late mother bought me a subscription for when I got my firsta partment in 2001. The only recipe I have handy s is the Secret Chocoalte Chip Cookies (still a hit). I'm tyring to find the lasagna recipe...it was like "Grandma's Best Lasagna" or something...had cottage, ricotta, parmasean, and moz cheeses. I had so much fun with these magazines, and exploring the recipes each month was such a great way to learn how to cook!! Thanks again!...See MoreSocial Security Card
Comments (28)I signed up for Social Security at age 62. I applied online. A day later a Social Security worker phoned me to ask one question and told me the amount I would receive and the date SS would start. Painless. Then about three months before I turned 65 I received my Medicare card through the mail. Because I was already getting SS I was automatically sent a Medicare card. Both Part A and Part B are shown on the card. If I chose not to pay for Part B the instructions said to mail back the card and they would send me a card for Part A only. If I chose to keep Part B with premiums deducted from my SS checks I was to separate the Medicare card from the rest of the paperwork they sent and put it in my wallet. Nothing more needed to be done. Easy peasy. I never drove anywhere to stand in any line to sign up for either Social Security or Medicare. Kessala...See MoreButter Gem recipe question
Comments (10)plllog actually I think you may be right. Like I said, some of her cards are missing. They sat around for nearly 20 years before being passed on to other family members, and they've been shuffled around for nearly 30 now before I got them. Long story short, there was probably a frosting to go with the cookies, but it's long gone by now. party_music that's what I was thinking. I creamed the fats and sugar in the food processor before blending in the flour, similar to how you would a crust. And that's what I initially thought with the stick hammer. I've been using my fingers, honestly. But 350 isn't it because they just melt into lace cookies and that doesn't seem right. Linda, I think I'll give that a try. Maybe they won't melt as badly and they'll retain some shape. Thanks everyone!...See Morepammiesue
