Jodi Arias Trial--a Question

Who's following it?

And what's your take on the phone calls?

I'm curious to hear some responses. I've hearing something in them that no one's mentioned. Just wondering how some of you others have interpreted them?

Ever since OJ and Casey Anthony, I will never spend any time watching those high profile trials. I believe she did it, as in the 2 other cases I have mentioned who else would have done it??

I will be interested to read what you have heard in the calls tho. I did watch a Nightline or 48 Hours on this case~~I just can not invest more than that on it.

Well, if you watch enough of these trials, a lot of them get it right--Neulander, for example (that was when I got hooked on TV trials). Took them two shots, but they convicted him, and Scott Peterson, as well as loads of others, I've watched.

Anyway, Jodi's admitted she did it--that's not the issue. The trial is basically to decide her punishment (if she can convince the jury she was abused, she might get off with a lesser-included manslaughter; or she might get life, or the death penalty).

I'm hoping someone who's heard the phone calls, and is following this will check in before I say what I'm hearing. I'll check back later--migraine permitting.

In the phone call, I'm hearing a sex and love-starved woman, trying to convince a man to love her. Any attention she can get from him, be it good or bad, is what she's after. She states, in the call, that she loves just about everything he says or does.

I believe she taped the phone call to use as evidence for a trial she saw coming after her plan to murdered him was complete.

She lost her mind when she found out he was taking another lady to Mexico, even though he had just had a day of sex with her.

IMHO, she's an un-paid, mentally ill call girl who made a lot of bad choices. She needs to go down HARD, imho!!!

I wouldn't trust one word she says. Agree, she should needs to be behind bars before she hurts someone else.

Okay, I totally agree about her being sex-starved, as well as looking to 'marry well'. He was a real catch for someone in her world.

But when you really, really listen to the phone calls, to the tones of voice, you hear a girl who is VERY excited by the outlandish sexual suggestions. But listen to him--his voice is more halting, more hesitant. I'm getting the feeling that she was the one into the kinky stuff, and she TOLD him to act that way--but it wasn't natural to him, he was just trying to play the role she was demanding. It's all in the tone--her enthusism sounds real, his voice sounds almost as if he'd rather be saying almost anything else BUT what is coming out of his mouth. I've listened and listened, over and over, and that's the impression I've gotten, the more I hear the calls, the more convinced I am. But I haven't heard anyone commentating on the case pick up on it at all.

And no--you can't believe a single thing she says--she's been caught in oodles of lies, so anything else she says has to be suspect. And there's no way to prove or disprove most of what she's testifying to.

Going to be a long weekend, waiting till Tues to hear her describe the actual day/night of the killing.

A forensic specialist in digital equipment can check her cell phone records to ascertain who call whom, who sent pictures and text messages to whom and what is contained in those messages and calls, even if they've been deleted. I suspect the prosecution team has a few whammys up their sleeves to challenge most any lie/accusation spewed from her sleazy mouth.

Azzaela, good ear~~~I believe that. I always felt she was the domineering one. It was so crazy to me that she was driving all over several states to be with him and have a date with another guy~~crazy woman stuff. Has it come out in the trial if she worked or not?? That question is driving my DH crazy, as to where did she get all this $$ to run around??

Yes, I kept thinking as I listened to the calls that it was as if she was 'baiting' him. She was setting him up. He told her that she was the one to introduce him to KY. She is a sick, sick individual. Anyone that can stab someone 29 times, slit their throat, and shoot them in the head, and ADMIT to it, THEN drive to be with another man is SICK!

For years I have watched true criminal cases on TV. Never watch the made-for-tv stuff. I'm fascinated by the way crimes can be solved. Now there are so many ways to get to the basics that weren't heard of way back when. It makes me think that crooks must not be paying attention, or they would know all the tricks by now.

About the Jodi Arias case, as far as those phone calls, it seems to me that Travis knows Jodi well enough that he doesn't have to try to impress her; she is completely ready and willing. The reason nothing much is being said about it is because Travis is not on trial.

Why did she murder him? I think she finally realized that he was only interested in the sex, and that she meant little or nothing to him. After all, she brought the weapons (premeditated.)

Yes, I am watching it, and yet I do have to wonder why "they," whomever that may be, chose to broadcast it. Porn is prohibited, plain old graphic words and pictures are out there for every teenager, and dirty old man to drool over.

Sue, airing this trial is all about money/ratings.
