Taking Chance with Kevin Bacon. I think both you and your husband will enjoy it. It is very moving . It was an HBO movie and Kevin Bacon won a golden globe for his performance in it.

Patti, I agree with you about "The Secret Lives of Bees." It was beautifully acted by absolutely everyone, and I hope it did win awards--I don't remember.

"The Secret Life of the Bees" Heavy materisl, mature audiences, well acted.

"Avatar" Do see the 3-D version. Scenes are very realistic. Interesting science fiction.

The Holiday with Cameron Diaz is so cute. The Proposal with Sandra Bullock loved it.

Wide awake is really good. It has Rosie O'Donnell, she has a small but important role and does a nice job. One if my favorites is "Safe Passage" with Susan Serandon and Sam Shepherd. I don't know very many people that have heard if it, but it is very good. I love The Holiday, and have watched it a few times. I just watched "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" the other night, again. Don't forget you can rent classics from Netflix too.

"Cold Mountain"

A US Civil War story.

It was actually filmed in Europe due to lower cost, but represented the hilly region of Georgia. It accurately portrays the conditions and effects on private lives of those who lived on the home front during that war. The actions of the notorious "Home Guard" was similar to what happened in southern Missouri as well. By the way, there was a romance story, too.

Don't miss "Taking Chance". Very moving and makes me see Kevin Bacon as a fine actor.

I forgot to mention While You Were Sleeping with Sandra Bullock. I love, love, love this movie. I really shouldn't admit this, but I think I've seen it about 20 times. Every time it's on and there's nothing else to watch, I'll watch it again.

GM - Im the exact same way with "You've Got Mail" I will watch that everytime it's on. It would be safe to say I've seen it at least 20 times. I Love that movie.

Don Juan DeMarco with Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando. Sweet and funny story with a great soundtrack to boot.

If you want a little excitement Changing Lanes is excellent with a good ending.

I also really like Dragonfly with Kevin Costner and Fever Pitch (Drew Barrymore and Jimmy Fallon are in this romantic comedy).

I don't watch most movies more than once, but all of these I've seen several times as well as some of the movies that others have listed.

And also Tyler Perry's The Family That Prays Together. I enjoyed that, funny and sad.

Be sure to check out the el cheapo DVD bins in Big Lots, Books a million, Walmart. I got great movies there including You've Got Mail an oldie but goldie "The Women" "Troy" you just have to be patient and look. The most expensive was today at the book store $6.97 usually $5

saw a cute movie the other night on showtime...called "dim sum funeral"...it's about 3 grown children who return home when their mother dies...few twists and turns...

"While You Were Sleeping" is also one of my never-get-tired-of-watching movies, as is "Return to Me."

"Stranger Than Fiction" and "The Visitor" are 2 movies that surprised me; I'm glad I watched them! Also, if you didn't get to see "Up" in the theater, put that on your list!

Are you aware you can watch movies on your computer?

I watched this fantastic Aussie TV series on my computer, the first 3 seasons are the best, but I stuck with it until the end. The shows are like 40 minutes, if you get interrupted it starts where you left off when you return.

Needless to say, Netflix is the best $9 we spend a month!
