I thought "Northern Lights" was awful!!!! ZERO chemistry between the two leads/lovers, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. Two rolls in the hay, one date, and they're madly in love & want to get married?!? Continuity was terrible. Unless I missed it, I had no idea that the father was killed 15 years earlier than when the movie starts. I didn't learn that until later, through dialog. The only reason I stayed till the end was to see who the killer was. I've never read any Nora Roberts, but I hope her books are better than "Northern Lights"! Ellen

I know, Susanjf, but I can't imagine a Robb book having the same budget as a Willis movie.... maybe special effects aren't as expensive as I think, though..... So, OK, let's order up a few movies, they would be fun! :) The hologram room would be fun, too. Cruise as Reacher is just stupid. And when asked, Cruise said he was a little sensitive about the criticism. Um. REACHER wouldn't be! So right there, it tells you it's poorly cast! Hopefully, "One Shot" bombs and they recast for a 2nd movie. I won't go see it, I don't want my mental image of Reacher tainted. Plus, I don't like Tom Cruise.

I also like NR, but I do wonder how she manages to "write" so many books a year with all of them having decent plots. I agree with Trish, I used to read all of DS books till they all seemed the same. NR reminds me of James Patterson. I think he has a new one about every month. I know he has co-writers, I wonder if NR does too? Char

I especially liked Northern Lights, but just can't see LeeAnn Rimes as the main character. I've read three of the four.

I read Tribute and fell in love with it. I havenÂt read Northern Lights yet, but theyÂre actually coming out with a movie about it..so IÂll probably tivo it so that I can read the book first.

I thought Northern Lights was a really good movie.. granted loosely based from the book but still really good!
