I always wonder that too, about when the kids grow up and look back on these episodes. Kate and John said that they started doing the show as a way to preserve the memories as the kids grow up because they couldn't possibly do that much video and picture taking being as busy as they would be. What kind of memories will this be for the kids...I sure would want to forget most of it! I liked her in the beginning of the show but I have seen her get worse over time. More rude and just horrible to her hubby. I would love to see if he goes off on her off camera! I can hear some snippiness in his voice at times...wonder if he lets her have it when the crew isn't around. My DH would! I do love to watch the kids though...all but Madi, she makes me want to slap her. I have a feeling her mom might have acted this way as a child. Those little ones are so cute though!

I thought "Northern Lights" was awful!!!! ZERO chemistry between the two leads/lovers, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian. Two rolls in the hay, one date, and they're madly in love & want to get married?!? Continuity was terrible. Unless I missed it, I had no idea that the father was killed 15 years earlier than when the movie starts. I didn't learn that until later, through dialog. The only reason I stayed till the end was to see who the killer was. I've never read any Nora Roberts, but I hope her books are better than "Northern Lights"! Ellen

From the library I currently have books by Ngaio Marsh (mystery), Miriam Toews, Star Jones (yes, the Star Jones and sure to be cr#p but oh well), Mary Burton (a thriller), Jill Mansell, Lindsay Faye, David Balducci and Deborah Raney. I left Dick Francis on the shelf and will hopefully get it soon. I don't tend to pre-read the beginnings of books as I see others do at the library so I will often start a book at home and wind up not finishing it because it's poorly written or the story isn't to my liking. I do read a real mix of genres and authors.
