re-painting metal finish.
Comments (0)Hi! I bought two mirrored nightstands. They have a silver finish around the edges and I would like to change it to more of a gold tone. What kind of materials could I use to make the change. I cannot spray paint them. I would like to repaint them as opposed to leafing, but I suppose I could leaf them. I have the silver but I want to change it to gold....See MoreRepainting Metal Porch Lights
Comments (4)I just used the Aged Copper a couple weeks ago. Yes, it was an outside application. Sometimes I spray prime, sometimes I don't. My experience is that things that don't get touched a lot seem to hold up well when painted. If I were painting these lights and wanted to be thorough, I would lightly sand them, spray paint with primer and then spray paint the top coat once or twice. Tape over with blue painters tape any parts of the fixtures you don't want paint on....See MoreWhich metal to cover edge of roofing metal used for another project
Comments (5)Get a piece of copper pipe (1 1/2") used for A/C lines, cut a 1/2' notch in it, caulk the tile, or the inside of the pipe, before you put it on, and it is pliable enough to bend as you go. Get some 1 1/2" end caps for the ends....See MorePatio on Metal Roof - ideas for not penetrating the metal roof?
Comments (5)So my best option is just to wear approprite metal roof shoes (the construction ones with the magnets) - and just go up there and sit down on the metal roof itself to enjoy the view? We're talking pretty epic views that I really want to be able to enjoy. We kciked some ideas around during construction - and we were already at our budget limit - so had to let the idea go. Now i'm regretting it and trying to find some sosrt of workaround. Thanks all!...See Morebullheimer
