It sounds like two issues are going on there - getting photos off your phone, and files having their extensions changed. For the latter, first you need to determine if the files were actually changed to pdfs or just the extensions changed (the dot and last three letters, as in .pdf, or .doc) Try right clicking on one file, choosing "rename" and changing the extension to what is was originally - .doc or whatever. Don't worry about the warning - you can change extensions as many times as you like. If it opens you're going to have to rename each file by renaming the extension. Programs that can rename, like the one included with "FileMenuTools", can do that in batches but if you're not a bit experienced it might feel a bit challenging. If it still doesn't open after changing the extension, something deeper has happened - the file itself may have been altered. If that's the case, I would guess you might have some sort of virus and I would do a completely scan with an antivirus and/or anti malware program. I am not too sure that any simple PDF viewer/reader will allow printing of selected pages. You might consider bring the needed pages up individually then taking a screenshot - press 'Print screen' or 'PRN SCRN' next to the F12 button. Then paste it into your photo editing software or Paint if you have nothing better. Then save as an image. Long ago I used PDFCreator and it was great, no idea why I moved away but I have just downloaded it again. It is a versatile program. There is also a free download called CutePDF writer. Once you download/install it shows up just like a printer so you go to print your document, select this option, and it creates a PDF file and saves it to your hard drive. We use this at work and I also use it at home.

Unfortunately, you can't just insert a PDF or a JPG into a post -- you have to upload it somewhere else first, and then link to it. If you click on the link below to the ReadMe for this forum, and scroll down to the second or third comment, the instructions walk you through how to upload images to photobucket.
