I want one!

Yes, I too love gadgets, but have had so many useless ones over the years, that I often resist getting them anymore.

Something I bought, that I just thought I had to have and that I would really use a good bit was a potato ricer. I 'think' I've used in one time in several years.

I love gadgets, too. My favorite of recent years is the original Nicer Dicer. I love to dice up bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and onions to make a confetti salad. I would have to work years to develop the level of knife skill required to make all those perfect little diced pieces.

I love kitchen gadgets. The last one that I bought was a pastry blender. Since I have never had one, I was sure that it would help me make the greatest biscuits. The trouble is that I have been making biscuits for 45 years using just a tablespoon and my hands. I just couldn't get the feel right with that pastry blender. I am back to my spoon.

I love gadgets too. Love the Julia Child tator ricer... my mom had one... Guess, that could be my next thing to bring back from Germany?

The Rocker is very cool! I use a river rock for garlic, one I got from a riverbed in CO, it's long, dark gray, smooth and fits my small hand just perfectly.

I'm not a gadget person, mostly because I don't shop much or go anywhere or watch commercials. Plus, we're in a de-clutter mode, so if I had it, I might get rid of it, just to reclaim some space.

I just last week discovered Swiffer dusters. LOVE those!

I forgot to mention that I recently bought a mandoline after reading some comments on the cooking forum. Got to try it out for the first time this weekend. I got some lovely thin slices of jerusalem artichoke and ONE NOT SO THIN SLICE OF MY RIGHT THUMB!

Yes, it has one of those thingies to hold the vegetable so that doesn't happen, but one slice of jerusalem artichoke didn't quite complete and it just wouldn't go through with the holder, so I thought I could do it with my thumb. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! I'm glad it wasn't worse and I learned my lesson.

I was cooking dinner at the time and had to wrap it tightly and wear a glove to finish the meal.

Speaking of Swiffer dusters......I find that the plastic thingy that the dusters fit on are great for getting crumbs out from underneath my computer desk...sits on carpet...and other cabinets that sit close to the carpet. I also lose a pill under there too often.

I love gadgets! Turns out my 7 y/o DGD likes them too. DD makes fun of our gadgets. One day she bought a Vitamix. I asked DGD what it was and she said, "A Gadget!". Of course DD denied it was a gadget but we knew the truth. I don't know what my favorite is. Too hard to decide.

It's so nice to know that so many people love me. ;*)

My love of gadgets is what brought around my username. My grandkids had started calling me that.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it is easy to use and easy to clean if you follow the instructions. I bought one for my mother during the holidays and she's hooked, too! She likes to use it to dice celery and hard-boiled eggs for tuna salad.

I, too, am a gadget gal. Glenda, I have a stick blender also, but don't hardly ever use it. What do you use yours for?

Oooh... I feel like buying some more gadgets. When Renee was over she asked whether I had a garlic press after seeing me chop garlic. I did, but never used it. I then took it out and tried it. Way cool! Who knew? Don't you just love rediscovering things you already have?? I love all the gadgets at Bed Bath & Beyond! Also always look at the As Seen on TV stuff.
