More canning questions

I have mentioned several times that we often have a side dish of sauted cherry or grape tomatoes halved with a touch of salt, basil chiffonade in a small amount of olive oil.

Our cherry/grape tomato plants are producing tons of the little things, I have probably 4 gallons of them now. We have frozen them before but never liked them that way.

My questions are

1- Is there a way to can this combination of tomato, basil, salt and olive oil?

2- Can I maybe cold pack the ingredients so the tomatoes don't over cook(turn to mush) when I process them?

3- I know that I will need to add some acid, probably vinegar but how much?

4- Pint or quart jars?

5- Pressure cook or hot water bath? I prefer to HWB, but am comfortable doing either.

If I HWB, how long for pints or quarts?

If I pressure can, how long for pints or quarts, and under what pressure?

6- Is there a basic formula to follow when trying to preserve something like this? I have only canned using a recipe, so I need help figuring this out.

I know there is a special forum dedicated to canning, but I think there are enough experts here that can help me.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.
