Show me your gray walls please

I am pretty sure I want to paint our MBR gray in our new house and am looking for just the right shade so it isn't too dark...would love to see pics with the name of paint. Thanks!

My kitchen is a gray green with white cabinets. The color is Ben Moore #1558 - Fieldstone.

I recently painted using BM Revere Pewter. It's a gray/beige, but leans more toward gray in our house.
This picture shows the Revere Pewter around our front door. The living room had not been painted when I took this picture. You can see the old color in the LR on the right side of the pic. Old color was called Navajo White and had a yellow tone.

I want to validate your concerns, that is a terrible job, and you should not have to live with that. I don't think the contractor should have used white caulk to fill it in. If your home is older I can understand where they may be some small gaps along the top of the 4 inch piece if the wall isn't straight, but on the edges, it should fit snug against the wall. I don't know what they did wrong, but would like to suggest that you cross post your concerns and pictures in the kitchen forum. There are several granite professionals that hang out over there and they can and will tell you 1. if your job was done correctly 2. confirm what caulking should have been used (clear) 3. And what you can possibly do to make it better. I'm really sorry you're having so many problems. Granite is not a cheap investment and it sucks when it's not fabricated or installed correctly. Eliza, I love the colors in this room, the table and chairs look beautiful, you did a great job!!! mclark, this is a great idea! One question though, one of my plates is shaped like a long tray and is a little heavy. I am wary of hanging it on those little gold stretchy plate hangers. Do you think I should find something like Eliza has her plates hanging on instead? Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

Are you doing new drywall where the base will go? If so, a nice modern touch is to do the tile or wood base flush with the drywall. The drywall would be run down to just above the baseboard height, and a reglet used to make a nice crisp edge. The tile or wood baseboard is then shimmed to be even with the drywall. http://www.remodelista.com/posts/remodeling-101-how-to-build-the-perfect-flush-recessed-baseboard-delson-or-sherman/ I have seen it done with same tile as the floor and it looks pretty amazing, IMO.

Not a great picture, but a great color....BM Gray Horse. I also considered Gray Owl, but wanted a bit more color.

Maybe we need to start a Gray Album on the Gallery side since gray has become so popular. Does anyone know if we have that yet?
