Please show me your modern bathroom wall/floor baseboard design

I need some serious advice - the bathroom will be small - 5x9, floating walnut vanity - only shower/tub area tiled.
The floors will be pretty dark grey graphite color tile.
What do you do for baseboards? Do you do a modern one or use tile ( not sure how it will look with a dark tile piece )? Most of the modern bathrooms don't use anything?
Please help - thank you!
Attaching the space for visual reference. The walls where the toilet hangs and sink won't be tiled.

Comments (19)Sweeby- Let's see..... the look I need/am after is something very classic. For the flooring, I had imagined 12x12 limestone tiles laid on the diagonal. For a bit of interest, I had thought about placing a 'border' around the edges of the bathroom which was made up of 12x4 tiles laid NOT on the diagonal. Make sense? I had thought about using one of the whiter limestones with a gloss (to give a more formal appearance). Sink, potty, and tub would be white, white....; fixures in polished chrome. The tub is to be a stand alone tub which sits on a plinth (a stand ..... as opposed to a clawfoot tub). We are also considering a chrome hydronic towel warmer. Where things get mirky for me is the shower and tub surround. Shower is small 36x48 with a glass door. Had thought about doing a mat of small, multi color limestone on floor with the 12x 12 tiles on the wall. I worry that big wall tiles will make the small shower look, um... small. Comments (11)Your bathroom is lovely. And I agree it looks very clean and crisp. The look I am going for is traditional or old world elegant. Again, I am only replacing the vanity, counter and sinks, and lighting as well as wall color and window treatments. I am also considering replacing the shower doors with new, borderless ones. The colors shown (gold and burgundy) are in the adjoining master bedroom. I would prefer NOT to match the bedroom paint but of course need to compliment. Comments (12)ummm, I haven't any. I put up bn look command hooks for the wet towels on the face of the shower as a temporary measure until I could decide on what to get. I only have one place (in that huge bathroom) where I could hang a bar, but the area ended up being a few inches narrower than I thought and am worried about it (a bar) encroaching on the space where the toilet is. I've got my eye on the tp holder that matches the faucets. It's brushed nickel and since it would be on a painted wall, i think it would look better than the orb. But can't commit until I decide about a towel bar for sure and the matching towel bar sets out too far from the wall for that space. So I am pretending that someday I'll figure it out - until then the tp sits on the back of the toilet. I am the only user, so it's fine....See MoreShow me your double-bowl sink in your bathroom
Comments (35)jewel, I think it might be the lighting, because our Mannered Gold "in real life" appears a bit darker and richer than the Blonde, but still complementary to the Blonde. The photographer who took these shots was taking pics for a homebuilder's competition and was using all kinds of lenses and things, so color might appear a bit off, or "pea colored." 7 years agoMy daughter's bathroom is the reverse color scheme of yours with the walls a dark grey color and the floors mostly white. For the baseboard she used bullnose tiles that matched the floor and tub surround tiles.
Maybe this picture will help if you can imagine it reversed. At least you can see how the contrast looks.
