Happy birthday!

Hey Bobby and Teresa!! How wonderful we all share the same birthday!! I never knew there were so many of us on this board.....I have to admit, being a Virgo, - I DO love my "well-organized" weekly menus!! My grocery shopping lists contain everything needed for my weekly menus, plus anything I'll need for any meal ever! lol!! Hope your b-days are great - any special plans for the day? I may go to lunch with some friends from work, if I don't have to do a lunch for some executives.

Last night I had my parents and my two sons for a birthday dinner at my house. Gave me a reason to cook and clean, LOL!

OOPS!!! Sorry I didn't know that about Jan. 1 being "everybody's" birthday, if a specific date isn't given. Oh well, Happy Birthday, whenever it is. :>) Mwoods, your statement about each year bringing "joy, laughter, and some tears" is so true. None of us ever knows what's ahead for us. But, as my DH says, "It's been a trip, but I wouldn't change any of it!"

Anele...with all you have going on I am so pleased you found this thread and sent your wishes. Thank you ! DH is a special guy. If it weren't for him I know I wouldn't be meditating and that has led to so much more as far as my piece of mind....which he then benefits from. A win/win situation for sure. Thanks for the birthday wishes! This is the 5-0 birthday for me and it's just hard for me to believe it! After yesterday though, I'm FEELING it! LOL The house my boys lived in when they were in college is going on the market today so I was over there painting the kitchen cabinets and staging the bathrooms (cleaned them spic-n-span first). Oh my, I have soreness in places I didn't even know I had places! It probably didn't help that I came home and practically guzzled a bottle of wine while in the hot tub! So I guess 49 went out with a bang and 50 is coming in with a whimper. :-)

Barbara, as a fellow Virgo, I must have missed getting the organized gene. At least the one related to meal planning. I plan all our meals on a daily basis and never shop with a list.

Yes, Happy birthday, Barb...I haven't been in Pittsburgh in years, went to college 45 min from there. Is that where you live? I had friends in McKeesport. went to my friend's wedding there, and all her Polish aunts did the cooking...it was amazing, beautiful homemade foods...

Happy Birthday Teresa and Barb. It is fun to have your birthday on September Seventeenth, kind of rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Even more fun is being a Virgo and trying to match the steretoypes of what one is. I do have most of the characteristics of a Virgo... organization was not one of them. I have lots of clutter. I'm sloppy in the kitchen while cooking, then clean up in one long process. I do shop with a list though! I like for functions and public places to be organized, but I am not. I do hope you both have a great birthday :o)

Hope you are having a great day, Bobby! Yep, September Seventeenth just rolls trippingly off the tongue!

I used to be more organized than I am now, but I still think that my way is best and I'll probably tell you that - ha! But I am more mellow now in my dotage and I resign myself to things I can't change more easily than when I was younger.

Here are some characteristics of Virgo:

You Virgos have the uncanny sense to see what's wrong with a person, a situation or your environment. It's why Virgo makes such natural critics. Virgo practical analytical abilities are second to none. Your mental process may not be the most creative, but Virgo's razor-like thinking is highly effective.
