Stony ground is very changeable and dependent on locational light. I tried it first in our house and it looked like smoke damage on the walls. Completely unusable. Here in our apartment -- 12th Floor -- it is cafe au lait to grey. I've got it in 3 different finishes -- modern, estate and eggshell. The eggshell will go purplish-brown late in the day -- the other finishes don't get that purplish color at all. Never red or pink. It goes milky beige and also taupey gray. pirula -- What goes pink here is White Tie, especially in the morning. It's ivory in our house. Completely different. Most paint colors have 3-4 pigments. F&B can have as many as 16 so that's why you get these effects. pickle -- green ground is a fabulous color. I've seen it go grayish but not khaki. Must be your light as I can see what it did on your cabinet. It's a color I love, love, love. Lived with it for 2 years now.

Thanks to Pirula I used White Tie for my living room trim. Love it. It's not at all yellow in my place, just a soft cream with a great surface. Just thinking about it last night as I need to do some more repainting and I am definitely considering it for more trim. F&B has a very strong range of whites to explore -- each has its own special qualities and tilts toward various colors. I used New White on bedroom woodwork in combo with a mellow yellow and it's much more subtle than white -- almost looks glazed. As a result, the room remains soft and serene. F&B is much more expensive, no doubt, but it holds up superbly.

Hey Red! I tried BM Silver Fox in my kitchen and w/ it's low light and silver small appliances it looked to purple to me. So sad! Wait till you see what's going on my LR walls.... I've lived w/ the Revere Pewter sample in it for almost a year now and I finally made a decision. I'm sorry that the SW Requisite Gray didn't work - I'm happy to hear that you think it's a beautiful color though. I am actually re-painting our MBR Requisite Gray after somebody e-mailed me asking to use a pic of our MBR on a web-site. I panicked - how could I say yes? Was it the picture from when it was blue, blue, gray, green, white, blue or what?! Turned out it was the pic from when it was Requisite Gray. I sighed and my heart fluttered when I saw the pic all over again so I decided to do it again and leave it. I peeked at the Gray Owl more than once for DD's room. Good louck w/ your decision! Oh! I'm currently looking at BM Kendall Charcoal for a kitchen built in (to look like furniture) and Chelsea Gray or something for the upper portion of DR w/ SW Highland White below. But who knows - last week th eupper portion was going to be BM Polo Blue and before that MS Thunderhead (a gray).

RL Deep Cream is very pretty, although very changeable, so you'd need to sample it in your house and room before deciding (well, you'd do that anyway!). Other posters here have called it "grey" or "lemon" -- in my somewhat dim MBR, it's a very warm off-white, right on the cusp of light beige and ivory. I don't see either grey or lemon in it at all. Too light for my purposes, but lovely. Maybe right for yours? There's another thread going about neutral paint colors -- perhaps there'd be some good suggestions there? Many people seem to like BM Ivory Tusk. Good luck!
