Which live cam is the best to watch right now?

Hi everyone,

I've been checking out some of the cam links and not having very good luck for some reason.

They are either black, blurry or not up at all.

Can someone please share the links and any info to the ones you may be having good luck with.

I'm not ready to give up just yet...*sign*

well live cam to what? there are thousands of live cams, to zoos, to Africa wildlife, to beaches, to New Orleans, you name it there are cams to watch. If you can be specific I can try to find some.
I love to watch the ones at the beaches like Hawaii and just imagine I am there LOL!

there are sites like this one that will list several different cams you can look at, be careful when searching for live cams however or you may find yourself in some questionable areas with live cams of the human animal variety! LOL

It must be dusk or night-time now. The picture is gray...

Tonight I was with my grandaughter tracking Santa on Norad and after we were done I clicked in to Wavelit live cam and there he was, a male lion. We watched for about 1/2 hour and saw a female lion and another male. This has been really interesting so far as I have seen a mother and baby giraffe, a wart hog, wildebeaste, elands, gazelles, monkeys, turtles and a stork like bird feeding in the waterhole. Someone on Hot Topics has posted a video of Sasha Baron Cohen accepting an award from the Anti-Defamation League. It's worth looking up. Cohen makes the point that lies and hatred are being spread far and wide by Facebook and Google -- unchecked -- as some sort of 'entertainment'. I agree with him that these for profit companies should be held to the same regulations as newspapers, broadcasters, magazines, movies, etc. NOT to disseminate fake news and foment hate. "Free Speech" has bounds. Journalism slid into this when it began presuming that *everything* has 'two sides'. No, not everything is 'debatable'. Facts do not have 'alternative meanings'. A pound IS 16 ounces, not some alternative number. Regarding this thread, President Trump DID withhold aid to Ukraine while demanding that Ukraine announce an investigation that he could use to smear his political rival. It is not "OK" to so abuse the office of the President, nor to use taxpayer money for personal profit.

The end of the story- I don't think anyone ever doubted the awkward young man's ability in trivia contests as is the Jeopardy program. He demonstrated in his answers over the several episodes he won both the depth of his knowledge and also, at times, the limits of it. He won enough times to qualify for some kind of championship to be held in the future involving other multiday winners. He very much deserves to have done so, there's no fluke in that. He lost by having the wrong answer to a Final Jeopardy question in a category something like 20th Century fiction that I suspect most people who read currently released books of various kinds would be familiar with. The "answer" was something like this (wording inexact): "When he started as a writer, his wife said that if it didn't work out, his above average height (many inches over 6 feet) would allow him to work as a reacher in a grocery store". Pretty easy for most, a nod to the Reacher novel series written by Lee Child. The end of the show highlighted another aspect of the guy's demeanor that was unlike others on the show. Most winners, and especially defeated champions at the end of their final match, give a nod, a wave, or even shake hands/hug with the other contestants. I didn't watch all the shows but I didn't see him do that even once. The same deadpan expression, staring straight ahead.

Which owl cam is the best one goin' right now?

I just looked in on the two owl links I got here and the nests are both empty...like no lives there.

The Tembe cam is working well, especially when it's daylight over there (night time here). The Nkorho pan camera is working, too.

The picture is best when it is full daylight over there or deep night. At dusk and/or twilight, the cameras may not have switched from/to the night vision lens.

I just checked now and a bunch of gazelle are at the river. First time I've seen animals.

I've been seeing elephants, the last couple of days, on the African Tembe camera. Very nice, closeup shots.

There have been all kinds of animals on Tembe just now. First a zebra, now some sort of antelope and giraffes. There is a baby giraffe as well as an adult. Very good stuff going on :-)

When you go to Africam, activate the multi view option and watch all three cameras at the same time! My 5 year old GS and I watch it every morning (we live on the west ooast)! I also watch the eagles at W. Virginia http://www.wvec.com/eaglecam No eggs yet. The site is moderated for the thousnds of children in schools across the US who watch.
