"No Governmental agency is going to suggest nor advocate the use of chemicals to homeowners. You will more often than not receive "organic" solutions from county extension offices. Most of them believe that "grasscycling" or cutting at 4 inches twice a month solves all problems." That's a very broad statement. And I would think just plain wrong from what others have mentioned online. If there's any entity that knows about what fungicides work in a particular area I would think it would be the university researchers at the extension offices that run the field tests that are used in the marketing materials aimed at the pros. So they get to play with them first in a controlled manner rather than just reading the label and seeing what happens. Now, master gardeners are not the same people that run the field tests and do the research. I don't know what it takes to be a master gardener but it seems that like everything else in life, your mileage may vary. I haven't done a survey of extension offices but most things I ran across have indicated that they didn't know much about organic methods. When I mentioned I was applying corn meal and milk for the fungus the reply I received was that those were not EPA registered to treat those diseases.

What happens if you don't raise Adenium roots?

OK....here's a question: If you grow a plant in a tall, but narrow pot, and do not replant it into a larger pots as the plant gets bigger, will the roots grow towards the wall of the pot, and then eventually grow, and take/conform to the shape of the pot? Here's why I ask...I want to try to grow an Adenium with a relatively thick but columnar shaped trunk,... to "suggest" the African, "Baobab Tree". I have a straight-sided, pot that is twelve inches tall, and 8 inches in diameter. I would like to plant the Adenium in this pot, and let it grow until the roots fill and take on the shape of the pot. Then I will gradually expose the clump of roots, which have now, hopefully, taken on the cylindrical shape of the pot, and grow/train the top end, above this clump of roots, to mimic a Baobab Tree. Of course this is all speculation, but have any growers noticed if roots do, in fact, take on the shape of the pot's interior? Thanks for any thoughts, suggestions, and help. Frank Frank

I love your set-up. First rate. I have to evolve into something like that. This is my first time. This has been strange and enchanting to begin with, but one evening 6 pupated at the same time. It was so eerie, like a zombie movie. These 6 are go for launch approx 7/25. It would be a hoot if they all eclosed at once like your gorgeous babies.

Thanks for the support. The pendant is from Shadesoflight.com: http://www.shadesoflight.com/fasciati-glass-lantern.html I still need to get glass shelves and the door with panes for that cabinet by refrigerator. I am also trying to decide whether I like the back of the cabinet to be painted the same color as the walls or just leave it white. I think I am leaning towards leaving it white. You could see it in the picture but it isn't lit below the first shelf as I still haven't placed the order for the glass shelves. Taking a step back from being so TKO really helped. I took my time choosing the lighting - many returns, many days and nights staring at the computer screen. I knew I liked lanterns but was drifting in another direction. The breather helped. I am very happy with the lighting choice. I am working on the other rooms that look into the kitchen and the lantern pulls everything together.

I've been trying to reform my curser for some time ...

... and thought that I was being rather successful ...

... but then something else happened that got my goat ....

... and the supposedly reformed curser slipped badly!

Ntt hou, go to the link; at the top see File, Email Link, send it to your friends. Or you can Save Page As, then it will go to your downloads.

The friend who sent it to me, had no idea that I am currently having cursor FREEZING problems. :OJ, at least you have it under control here at the KT! Thank you for that.

Thanks Sue_VA. Unfortunately, they asked for Facebook log-in in which I don't have nor want. It's alright, I don't want it as bad.

Ntt hou, that should not happen. Which browser do you use? Even that shouldn't cause a problem though.

I'm using Windows Explorer 9 and you're right, it shouldn't matter. Don't worry about it. It's really not necessary. Thanks Sue.

Ntt hou, I don't use Explorer, except on a rare occasion; Firefox is my preferred browser, and I seem to forget that others don't use the same browser I do, and I just give directions in the one I use. So I am in Internet Explorer8 now and this is what I see there.

Click on the Here it is Link, you will get the cursor. Look up top on the left, click on File and you will see a list of choices. Click on Send. (My choices are, and yours would be the same or similar.) Choices will be Page by Email, Link by Email, and Shortcut to Desktop.

Choose Send by Email, then send it to yourself. When you get it you can send it on to anyone. When I send to several, I use BCC, and send it to myself followed by any others. That way you know it worked.

I hope this works for you; it is frustrating when these contraptions don't behave!!

Thanks Sue. It doesn't work still. Under the Send, 3 options, the only option I can chose is the "Shortcut to Desktop". The other 2 are grayed out, not allowed to select them.

Don't worry about it. It's nothing needed.
