First My Back and Now my Leg

I feel like I am falling apart...lol

I finally got my lower back pain to go away and now my leg hurts. It's right behind my kneecap/calf area. Feels just like a Charlie Horse. Only hurts when I move a certain way though. So back to the heating pad, Ben Gay and Aleve.

Everyone else feeling okay?

Sounds like what I have. I chalk it up to old age and not enough exercise.LOL I do have osteoarthritis in that knee.Do you have arthritis or any kind of lumps in that area?I have heard of blood clots causing that kind of pain.Or varicose veins? Hope it's bettter soon.I know the feeling.Right now I'm having shoulder problems that don't seem to go away.Could be because I'm always lifting babies.LOL

Ouch! Hope the heating pad helps--that sounds painful! Get well because you're too young to have those aches and pains ;-)

mammo8 I use the exact same recipe that you use 1 1/2 peat, 1 1/2 perlite, 1 Portland cement I also do 1,1,1 and had the exact results that you are dealing with. I started stirring the dry parts really well and then added more water then it calls for and stir, stir, stir . I know it tells you that you don't want to get more then a couple drops of water out of a hand full or it will be to heavy and wont set well. I cant tell you exact how to mix it you will find the right amount for you but I'm pretty sure from your pictures your mix is to dry and maybe not mixed as well as it should be. Don't give up my first project was a sphere and it took me 3 days to get one that finally turn out right . One little hint if you get to much water then take a few hand fulls and set them on newspaper before you use them it will suck up the excess water or if once you got your pot done it appears really heavy or is sliding from to much water take paper towels and just blot it well until you get the excess water out of it . Another here that sears in LC all the time. Maybe, I'm not supposed to but I preheat mine cold, add a bit of oil, & when that's hot I add whatever I'm cooking. I also have a gas range & use my LC on the high output burners at about 2/3rds capacity. I have several LC pans including the 7.25 quart LC 'Le Doufeu' in red & absolutely love it. Just yesterday, I seared a couple pork tenderloins in it before adding green chili & letting it simmer for 6-7 hours. It did a beautiful job of searing. I'm wondering about the electric range...hopefully, somebody will chime in that uses electricity with their results. I sure agree with you though...if it won't brown, it's pretty worthless especially for the price of the stuff. Could be a Baker's Cyst - a condition in which you experience a bulge (though not always) and a feeling of tightness behind your knee. The pain gets worse when you fully extend your knee or when you're active.

Generally does not require any medical intervention and goes away on its own, but icing or a compression wrap is better than heat.

I have sciatica and I hurt my lower back reaching for something so I need to go to the chiropractor, but I have the flu, so I'm hobbling around for now.

I'm also guessing that it might be the sciatica nerve. I had the heating pad wrapped around my leg Thursday and Friday night and it feels a little better today. Of course my back is now a little stiff from being on the couch. Nothing like it was before though. I'll just be happy when both are back to normal.

Sam...it just gets worse...lol

A few weeks ago...maybe 2 1/2 months...I don't remember...
I may have posted about it..

I dropped something on the floor while sitting in my computer chair. I tried to bend over in the chair and pick it up....the chair didn't like it and bucked me out...

I fell on my butt then the chair flipped over and hit me on the head...

I thought it was funny at the time....you know..Funniest home video stuff. But later my right hip started aching when I'd sit in my computer chair for very long. Then about 3 - 4 weeks ago I lean forward in that chair and something popped..Now I ache and hurt there all the time. I keep putting off going to the doc. Maybe come Monday I'll call. (everytime I make up my mind to go it feels better for a few days)

I'm wondering if I broke something or cracked it.(no jokes about my butt being cracked ...lol)

and then the fall at the wrestling match the other night added to some hurts..

I want to go back to my 40s or 50s

Sorry you are hurting...it just isn't fun

A hot shower and a couple Alleve. Then take a nap or at least stay off your feet.

I took an Alleve this morning and it does seem to help. At least I am walking a little better today. I'll be on the heating pad tonight and tomorrow so hopefully that will help.

Thanks for listening...I hate getting old.

I swore the problem was my hip... nope it was a herniated L3-L4 disc. My leg/hip/ankle have given me fits this whole year! If you have had recent back pain, could your knee be hurting from a problem with the disc/nerve root that is associated with the knee?

It's not my knee that hurts...just the area behind and a little below the knee. Like I said..it feels just like a Charlie Horse....tight one minute and then it will ease up. it's a little hard getting up from a chair but once I am walking a few feet I get around with no problem. The biggest problem I am having is getting out of bed. It takes me several minutes to prop myself up and get the leg over the side of the bed.

The pain isn't constant which is good..it's mostly annoying.
