Comments (6)I have to disagree with homehydro on this one. You should probably start over unless you feel like you cannot afford to do so. The pH being wildly thrown around has surely adversely affected plenty of those seeds. I have a hunch that quite a few may not even sprout (although I could be wrong). If you want less headache, less worrying, and a higher probability of success, restart. There are already so many "ifs" in hydroponic growing, that if there is any way you can block a probability and make it a definite, you should probably do it. The only reason NOT to would be for saving cash. Also, about the rockwool cubes: I would soak them. Some say you need to, others say you don't. I say you most certainly should soak the rockwool cubes in a pH balanced water. In fact, I reccomend soaking them in tap water or RO water for say 10 or 15 minutes. Pull them out of that water. Get some new water, and make sure it is as close to 7.0 pH or lower as you can get it. Soak them in this water for 45 minutes. That should do it, and honestly you will be better off because your pH will already be shifty, especially if you are using hard tap water. Using this method of pre-treating the rockwool cubes, you wil have less trouble in the long run! If you don't want to mess with getting a pH perfect solution, you can actualy purchase rockwool conditioner that apparently many people find to work great. Some of it even includes a great balance of nutrients for your seedlings. Theres my 2 cents!...See Moremy beloved grandfather is gone, what do i do now
Comments (7)I am settled on a mild antidepressant now, but still unsure whether it is really helping. My husband has quit drinking, 3 weeks, now. I only drink socially, margharita at a mexican restaraunt is about the extent of my drinking. My son is taking an anger management class at school, but I think I am going to go ahead and make him an appt with someone to talk because he is dreaming now, the other night he sobbed for a solid 30 minutes after dreaming of my poppa, and he worries about every little thing, he is scared he is going to die, this can't be right for a 10 year old child. March 16th will be one year since he passed, I still struggle, but am trying to be strong for him and my daughter. It's funny and silly but I have a small dog who used to love going down to his house and sit with him and get treats, and now we are trying to clean the house up, and she will not set foot in the house, if we pick her up and take her in she whines and scratches at the door the whole time, weird, i don't know why she does this...just strange. I talk to him all the time and catch myself sometimes talking to him at random times, but it actually helps me i think...not sure, maybe not. Anyway thanks everyone for the advice!!...See MoreWhat to do with my Sans now - Banded Nelsonii
Comments (21)Hi! Thank you for the questions! I'm so excited with the plants because a lot of things happened to them in the last few weeks. They grow now faster and I enjoy watching their growing from day to day. I took your advice and I water them more frequently, they get once a week or at least once in two weeks. The Banded Nelsonii rhizome is stronger than ever, and it looks so healthy and strong too. If I try to move the plant a bit, it stands very strongly and it's very stable. I think something is growing in the soil, I really hope it's a new rhizome. The leaves seem to be heathy too, only one of them got rotten, I think I pot that one upside down. They're next to an orchid in orchid soil, because when I cut the leaves I didn't have so much space suddenly -and neither good soil, and I've already raised a lot of Hahnii there in that soil from leaf cutting so I'm very hopeful with the Banded Nelsonii leaves too. Some of my plants has new pups too, what I'm really proud of now is my Parva and the Caespitosa, they have very big pups right now, I can't wait so see them growing up. My Robusta has an extremely big pup too, and it's a surprise for me because that was one of my weakest plant, and I wasn't so sure if it dies or not. The other Sanses have new leaves too, so I'm completely happy now :) I attach some picture about the plants....See Moreberndoodle
