If you can get someone that knows what theyre doing stamped concrete would look nice.Hubby did a driveway to look like slate.We have stamped brick around inground pool.

If you do concrete, maybe also have a real brick border along the edges, to complement your brick house.

I like the lookm of stamped concrete. A fresh pour runs about $8.00 per sq ft but another option is a spray stencil application. This is used over cured concrete aprox 28 days old. The poured concrete can be colored to get the look of the mortor. A concrete material is sprayed over the stencil and worked with a pool trowel to give it a neet texture. the stencil is removed revealing the stone or brick pattern. very hard to tell the difference and gives the area a beautiful custom look.I welcome your questions and accept phone calls. In my neighborhood, some homeowners are using red brick in sand for driveways. Its not as smooth as concrete, but it drains well, and helps reduce rainfall runoff to the storm drains. I like the looks of this surface.

Our driveway is interesting -- like a "ribbon" driveway (grass between strips of concrete) but more durable. It is a double side-loading garage, so the drive can handle two cars side-by-side. There are three strips of poured concrete -- the left, right and center. In the ribbon spaces where you might ordinarily see grass are bricks laid flush with the concrete.

I'm not sure, but I think it may be original to the 1925 home.
