I've been making this chocolate fudge exclusively for about 15 years. The gal who gave it to me also fed me the story that her mother had a candy kitchen and bought the recipe from See's. Of course, I know that's untrue, but it IS our favorite, so I don't really care. And I love dark chocolate, so I often sub dark chips for a good portion of the recipe. This makes a HUGE batch and I can't tell you if it will work correctly if you cut it in half. If I'm not making it for a holiday when I know it will all get eaten, I cut four-inch squares and bag and freeze them.

CHOCOLATE FUDGE
In a large bowl place:
8 oz. jar marshmallow cream
1/2 lb. butter
2 Tbsp. Vanilla
2 cups nuts (your choice)
36 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Butter a large baking pan (about 10âÂÂx14âÂÂ)

In a 3 quart saucepan place:
4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 can evaporated milk (12 oz.)

Bring to a boil on medium high heat and continue to boil for 7 minutes.

Pour this mixture over contents in bowl and stir until smooth. Spread into baking pan and let set for at least 2 hours before cutting.

Makes 5 lbs.

You must stir constantly while boiling the sugar and milk to prevent the mixture from scorching.

I've made velveeta fudge that is really good.

Potato chip fudge

If you're like us, you've got a weakness for snack food like potato chips and pretzels. And when they're added to creamy rich fudge, they taste like expensive chocolate-dipped pretzels and chips like the ones we see in fancy candy stores.

Makes: 64 pieces

Chilling Time: 4 hr

Cooking Time:10 min

What You'll Need:
1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups coarsely crumbled potato chips (See Note)

What To Do:
1.In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate chips over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Be careful not to burn. When chocolate is melted, reduce heat to low and add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla; stir until well blended.
2.Remove from heat and immediately add crumbled potato chips. Stir gently to blend and pour into an 8-inch square baking dish that has been coated with cooking spray. Cover and cool in the refrigerator until set.

Notes
We cut these into 1-inch squares because they're so rich and satisfying.

You can also try a pretzel version: Use 1 cup coarsely crushed pretzels in place of the potato chips.

I watched my sister in law make this fudge, and have made it a couple of times since... it is delicious.

Marjie's fabulous fudge

4 1/2 cups of sugar
I can evaporated milk (1 2/3 cup)
I stick butter (1/2 cup)
dash of salt
1 12 oz package of semi sweet chocolate chips
2 12 oz packages of milk chocolate chips
1 pint marshmallow cream
2 cups chopped nuts

Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in heavy sauce pan. Stir and cook over high heat until it comes to a boil. Stir and boil constantly for 5 minutes. Reduce heat, and add chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and nuts. Stir till chocolate chips are melted and everything is blended. Remove from heat and quickly spread in a 15X11X2" buttered pan. Cool and cut in to squares.
This recipe makes 7 pounds of fudge.

I have made this several times!

Velveeta fudge
Spray a 9 x 13 inch cake pan with PAM (imitation cooking spray) If you want thicker pieces use a square pyrex dish, which I use.

1/2 pound Velveeta
1/2 pound butter
1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
1 2lb. bag of powdered sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
Nuts, if desired I like it with nuts

Melt Velveeta and butter on top of stove (preferrably in a pan. Velveeta is shapely but it won't stay together when heat is applied). When melting is done, pour in remaining ingredients and mix using a hand mixer. Pour into pan and chill.

This is a very good recipe. I haven't made it in years because it makes a lot and I eat a lot so I'm happy to pass the recipe on.......

See's Fudge

3 6 Oz. pkgs. chocolate chips
1/4 lb. butter
1/4 lb. margarine
2 C. mini marshmallows

Place in large bowl.

In tall pot, cook 4 1/2 C sugar and 1 large can evaporated milk. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Boil 9 minutes stirring constantly. Pour over chocolate chip mixture. Beat until creamy with wooden spoon. Add 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 C. chopped walnuts Pour into buttered 9 x 13 pan. refrigerate over night and cut into small pieces and then halve (width not length)

When boiling the sugar milk combo you will see brown streaky particles. This is normal. This fudge is so creamy and delicious. I just might have to make it and give it as gifts just so I can have a few pieces.

Moni, your recipe is essentially the same recipe as mine, except that mine uses twice as much butter. All other ingredients are in the same measurements. It IS delicious, isn't it?

Here is the old Hershey's Cocoa fudge recipe.

Hershey's Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge Candy

3 cups sugar
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Line 8 or 9 inch square pan with foil; butter foil. In large heavy saucepan stir together first three ingredients; stir in milk, with a wooden spoon. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Boil without stirring, to 235 degrees F on a candy thermometer (or until syrup, when dropped in very cold water forms a soft ball which flattens when removed from water). Bulb of candy thermometer should not rest on bottom of pan. (This can take 20-30 minutes). Remove from heat. Add butter & vanilla extract. Beat with wooden spoon until fudge thickens and loses some of its gloss. This can take 15-20 minutes. It starts to look more like frosting than a thick syrup when it is ready. Quickly spread into prepared pan. Cut into squares while warm.

And this one is very quick and easy.

FORT WORTH PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

2 sticks butter (real butter)
2 cups chocolate chips
1 16-oz jar crunchy or extra crunchy peanut butter (I use JIF)
1 lb. box powdered sugar

Put butter and chocolate chips in a large glass bowl and place in microwave. Microwave on high for 1 minute; then stir mixture well. If chips are not totally melted return to microwave and run on high for another 30 seconds. Remove and stir well. Put the peanut butter in the chocolate mix and stir well. Add box of powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. It gets tougher to stir once you have added powdered sugar so need some muscle. When thoroughly mixed, spray a 9 x 13 pan with Pam (or equivalent) or you can butter the pan well. Put fudge in the pan and spread out evenly. Place in refrigerator overnight. When ready to cut fudge into squares, remove from refrigerator for 30 minutes or so before cutting.

This is so easy and so very good. It is quick and easy for the busy holidays.

This is a recipe that I got from Ruthie G. I like it because it is super fast and easy...and tastes very good!

MICROWAVE FUDGE

4 Cups Confectionersâ Sugar
ý cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
1/4 cup Milk
ý cup Butter
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Grease a 9x9" dish
In a microwave safe bowl, stir together confectionersâ sugar and cocoa. Pour milk over mixture and place butter in bowl. Do not mix.
Microwave until butter is melted (about 2 minutes). Stir in Vanilla (and nuts, if desired) and stir vigorously until smooth. Pour into prepared dish.
Chill in freezer 10 minutes before cutting into squares.

I always use this one, so simple

Eagle Brand Fudge

3 cups (18 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brandî Sweetened Condensed Milk
Dash salt
1/2 to 1 cups chopped nuts (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

LINE 8- or 9-inch square pan with foil, extending foil over edges of pan.
MELT chocolate chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt in heavy saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread evenly into prepared pan.
CHILL 2 hours or until firm. Remove from pan by lifting edges of foil. Cut into squares.

this is the recipe I got from girlmeetslife,com. I have made it a few times it is so easy.

2 cups yellpow cake mix "she used betty crocker
2 cups powder sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 cup milk
sprinkles optional

place cake mix and powder sugar in a microwave safe bowl. Pour in the milk and top with the butter. Microwave for 2 minutes.Immediately start mixing everything together.-the butter may not be fully melted, but will as you continue mixing. Lastly add in the sprinkles if desired. Then pour into a round cake pan. Chill at least 2 hours before cutting. Store in refrigerator.

Some people said it never hardened. I never had a problem with it though. I don't know what brand I used though. Some said the funfetti didnt harden.

Since the cake mix is 3 cups I used thje whole cake mix and added 1/2 again of the other ingredients. Then I used a 9x13 pan and it worked real well for me. It is very good.

First I've heard of a cake mix of any variety, let alone a yellpow one ...
